  1. Mythbusters did this more comprehensively with two handguns, shotgun slug and .30-06. No surprises what worked and what didn’t. This one’s interesting though, as a few locks did pop with just one shot. Knowing what weapon and ammo was used might help though.

      I didn’t see that Mythbusters, i’ll have to take a look for it though.

    They seemed to be chewing apart the first lock from the bottom. I’m sure after the bottom fell off they could have jiggered it open by hand instead of shooting it several more times. The second lock they lucked out simply because they hit it in the right spot the first time.
