Pentathlon Will Use Laser Guns At London 2012 Olympics

*Snore* Just when I thought the Olympics couldn’t get any more boring.  At least traditional pellets were susceptible to wind, gravity, etc…

Wake me up when the fencing event using lightsabers, or the current pentathlon guns have their power cranked to blow shit up.

  1. WOW. What a complete joke this is. The UK on another anti gun type crusade.

BORING!!! It didn’t help that the guns they did have were all kinds of stupid looking, now they are LAZORS!!!

I can’t believe they are going to allow fencing with their knife ban and such, I bet they could go to Toys R Us and buy some fake lightsabers and it would actually be worth watching.

Yea they should be adding stuff to make the olympics more interesting, not substituting for something more mundane.

  3. Let’s see… ‘Klaus Schormann, president of world governing body’ and ‘the sport’s honorary president, Prince Albert of Monaco’. Yep, sounds like the UK alright.

Although admittedly it will no doubt suit our politicians down to the ground.

  4. This pentathlon thing lost me at fencing and horse jumping. I’m already too uninterested to care if they’re using lasers instead of pellet guns.
