How To Fire A Handgun – Ask A Beautiful Woman

Just don’t ask her specifics about the gun if she works for Esquire magazine… because then you’ll get wrong information like this:

See the full video HERE or click the screenshot above.

I find it hard to believe that someone could make that many obvious errors in one title.

Lets break it down:

  • Glock & Wesson – Well the Glock part is correct.  As far as I know Glock never collaborated with Wesson from Smith & Wesson on anything.
  • 45mm – WTF?  That would be a hell of a round!
  • FPO – I have no idea what that means in the context of firearms.
  • Designed in 1789 – hahhaha Uhhhhh no.   Semi automatic handguns were not invented until the late 1800s.
  • Designed by Colt Koch – Samuel Colt wasn’t born until 1814 and died in 1862, long before the Heckler & Koch company was founded in 1949… and as far as I know there is no one named “Colt Koch”.

I hope to god they didn’t get that information from the DEA agent.

I think we all got trolled by Esquire.  LOL

  1. I’d buy a Glock and Wesson. That’d be a helluva gun.

      And ‘FPO’… ‘For Pros Only’?

  2. I wonder if someone accidentally left some placeholder, BS text in the video.

I’d think they would have gone with lorem ipsum, though, since it’s text and not graphics.

Good call.. I bet that’s exactly what happened!

  3. I call shenanigans!

  4. No better than the 25mm handgun that the bad guy was using on the stand in The Dark Knight. Every time I hear that line I wince.

hahaha it’s amazing how even high budget movies are not immune to errors like that

  5. she shooting lesson was pretty abysmal too. I cringed when they made that poor woman struggle with the slide in a weak sling-shot grip from straight-arms…

Yea that was pretty brutal. Granted models are not known for their muscle ;)

  6. GW- because we’re retards, and we wub you

    1. ROFL!

  7. What they edited from the video was the reaction of the new woman shooter after the first shot. In my admittedly limited experience, about half the time, any new shooter (male or female) fires one shot, then turns around with a big grin on their face, sweeping everyone with their muzzle with a finger on the trigger.

I’ve seen the “new shooter sweep” happen so many times as well.

  8. I liked the little cocking sounds they inserted during the firing sequence.

haha yea that threw me off too.. I think it was supposed to be a fancy slide change sound.

  9. […] Everyday, No Days Off bring us this sad video from Esquire Magazine. The image is a capture of the video and to look at it gives any half assed gun enthusiast a major OMFG headache. […]

When the female agent draws her weapon she sweeps her left hand dangerously. Left hand should be held against the chest while drawing to prevent sweeping it with the muzzle. Her grip on the weapon is terrible when drawing as well. Definitely don’t go to her to learn anything.

I agree. Also, you’d think the DEA agent could have gave the model a bit more of explanation on how to hold the gun properly.. the recoil was destroying her with the grip she had.

  12. I like how they threw the Plaxico Burress comment in there. (56 sec)

Glock & Wesson is a dual purpose appliance for Esquire’s female shooters. You can shoot somebody with it, or you can fry chicken in it.
