All the talk about how crazy Charlie Sheen is lately reminded me of some awesome movies he has been in:

Of the ones I’ve seen, the most notable are:

Is Navy Seals worth watching?

Navy SEALs is a great movie!! “God god…come in god”. Chris Costa does a great impression in the Magpul Dynamics Shotgun Outtakes.

    1. I liked the Wraith… pretty underrated.

Michael Biehn, one of the actors in Navy Seals, said in an interview that the director of Navy Seals, Lewis Teague, wanted the SEAL team to find the cache of weapons with handheld IR detectors.
Apparently it took Biehn quite a bit of convincing to the director that missiles only have a detectable IR signature *while they are actually flying through the air toward a target.*

    2. Poor Bill Paxton! Killed by terrorists on top of The Terminator, the Alien, and the Predator!

Anyhow, Navy SEALs is when I first became aware of the Barrett. I did see it earlier in Robocop as the tricked out Cobra Assault Cannon, but had no idea what that was at the time.

Not sure I’d called The Wraith a “good” movie, but I’ve seen if several times.

Charlie is THE MAN! He has his flaws/fault/addictions, but I love the man the way he is. At least he’s never been like Lindsay Lohan. Charlie showed up for work on time every day and gave good performances every time. Seems the only thing that CBS wants to bitch about is that he didn’t promote the show for awards very much. Seems to me that CBS just wants more awards that they can boast of when they don’t actually have any talent to be able to get it themselves!

Either way, I’ll be watching whatever Charlie may appear in, as well as Mel Gibson……their person lives are none of my business (although I think Mel’s ex is a money hungry, gold-digging bitch and deserved the way she was talked to….lol).

    Keep it real guys.

  4. I know the Wraith wasn’t a great movie, it was one of those movies I remember watching I just when I was younger thinking how cool the car was in the movie. I watched it recently and came to a different conclusion. He does use a SPAS-12 to tear up that garage…..

  5. Navy Seals is a great popcorn action flick. Too fast-and-loose to be a serious war drama like Private Ryan, but by far better done than the typical 80’s Segal/Lundgren/VanDamme flick.

Good action, very good (but not perfect) attention to tactics and movement, they actually run out of ammo and have to reload, etc. ‘Course, there’s some liberties taken for the sake of the movie- Sheen plays a hotshot risk-taker that, if he’d been an actual SeAL, they’d have thrown him out on his can, if not brought him up on charges. But hey, it’s a movie, not a documentary.

    Definitely worth renting, anyway.
    Doc.

Nothing wrong with bat sh*% crazy….I’ve had some of my greatest times while I was! I think the crazy ones are the only people that will make it through all this crap……lol

  7. Check out Cadence as well. Charlie’s in the army and gets thrown in the brig. His dad is in it as well. And yes, Navy Seals is worth watching.

  8. dont forget about major league!

  9. I think I read somewhere that Navy Seals was the primary inspiration behind the South Park producers movie – Team America. That should pretty much tell you everything you need to know……
I’ve seen NS and although its typical 80’s schmultz! The production values are pretty good, so if you want to loose an hour or two, you could do a lot worse

“Beyond the Law” is his defining moment. He owns that character. “Platoon” and “Major League” are my other two favorites and I should add “The Arrival” also. Now, my favorite thing to watch is SOLLY CHARLIE running around with a machete and some very loose ladies. Man. I almost wish I was him.

  11. James Russell: Imagine that… It’s like a G-Dogg on a fly tip flossin’ with the posse, cuttin’ in the crib… WHAT THE **** DOES THAT MEAN?

  12. Also ‘Men at Work’ … classic….

    James: What are you doing?
Carl: I hate shitheads who bully their women.
James: So what are you going to do?
    Carl: Shoot him.
    James: What?
    Carl: It’s the principle, James.
James: With a pellet gun? What are you going to accomplish using that stupid thing?
Carl: It allows me to seriously aggravate a situation without actually changing the course of history. It also stings like a bitch.
