When Plinking At Cans Becomes Art

Sunset over Manhattan:

(Source)

Pretty neat how a pile of strategically placed shot-up garbage can cast a familiar looking shadow.

I’m disappointed that there is no artist provided “deep meaning”  behind this painting so i’ll make my own:

The urban silhouette cast by the shot up garbage represents the struggle man has with industrialism, only worsening with each rise of the morning sun.

  1. Hmmm, a crumbling pile of garbage, it just looks like New York to me…

    That’s actually quite beautiful :D

    1. Indeed. It’s also nice to see that there wasn’t some ironic/edgy/deep meaning behind it (not counting Mikes of course lol.), it’s just, well, beautiful.

  3. Bloomberg is definitely the mayor of that town.

When I first saw the quote I was about to get angry at the artist, but then I saw it was a tongue-in-cheek joke by you so I relented.
Usually I hate that kind of deep meaning stuff. What happened to making art because it looks nice? Why does it have to be edgy and deep?

Maybe because tattoo’s are by artists too? That’s the closest relation I can see… :-p
