Haters Gonna Hate Heckler & Koch

and attempt to drive them out of their home town with witty Robin Hood references:

Lots more pictures and info over at the artist/poster bomber’s website – HERE

Probably one of the best songs from a disney movie.  I immediately grabbed my guitar and looked up the tab before posting this… classic stuff.

I guess the tables turned on HK, civilians are normally used to being on the receiving end of hate from that company. :P

  1. I own two HK products at present, + a clone, this shit is awesome!

  2. It seems a bit, erm… confusing, to give the protagonist a weapon from the company you’re trying to protest, doesnt it?

    1. You, are, an idiot. The protagonist, is a fox. I don’t mean, to be rude but y’know, you could’ve wiki this shit. I remember I was five, or so, when this stuff came out on re-release or some stuff, VHS. It was big deal to see this. It was film to see a fox dressed like a pelican. Don’t was time reading the read of this post, unless you take it to go see the film. Then you can dig what I’m saying.

Go watch those classic Disney films. You’re probably under 24 years old, which means, you, haven’t, actually watched the full movie. And, yes, these commas, period. Should emphasize, my point.

The reference is double. Have rooster, which equates to cock (Alan-a-Dale). Then you got the Koch, albeit “coke” sounding, for H&K.

      I get it, do you?
In world of compromise, would, you, compromise to understand?
      Someone has been drinking! ;)
      But, I get it.

If it helps, read this post as if Chris-to-pher Wa-lken wro-te it.

      1. lucusloc Avatar

say what? all i understand is that drinking was involved. . . . :-)

        1. That happens.
Anyway, someone should see the film. It’s a classic.

      2. Yeah, I’ve watched the film but am still lost by your rant

        1. Short version: a fox = the main character. Watch the film if you haven’t. Watch it again. Then buy a Sig.

          1. I’m slightly bewildered by your… ahem… speech above, so I’ll just focus on the main points, which are:

            A) I’m 29 (almost 30) and have watched that film in it’s entirety many MANY more times than can be considered healthy (as in roughly everyday for a period of several years during my childhood).

            B) The rooster IS, in point of fact, a protagonist. I never said or implied he is THE MAIN PROTAGONIST, as that honor falls on that dashing young vulpes Robin Hood himself, but since the aforementioned fowl is aligned with said canid, that makes him ‘one of the good guys’, as they say.

            1. Actually you did imply the rooster was the (main) protagonist when you said, “the protagonist” in your original post. So of course I was confused. ;)
No (new or implied) offense intended.

              1. You can’t call someone an idiot and then say “no offense”, frank. If you weren’t a douchey troll, you would know that. All offense intended.

                1. One of those posts were under the influence.
Is it possible to be a troll and troll slayer at the same time? Duality of man? Full Metal Jacket anyone?

With that said, I am sorry.

Is it possible that these posters are meant to protest taxes or specific laws (by claiming that use of HK weapons will be a response otherwise).

Yeah, Lets have the roster endorse HK by sporting a G36 and then say this is to show how we hate HK so much. Are the Britt’s unaware of the L85A2

There is zero chance of a rooster getting a permit to own a firearm in GB and besides HK hates you.

Imagine Heathrow with what, Sten instead of MP5 toting operators, walking around ? Priceless.

  3. Ah, the voice of the great Roger Miller… If you like his stuff, ya gotta see Waterhole #3. Miller does this sort of narrative singing that underscores the plot and action, while some truly actors (James Coburn and Carroll O’Connor) chew up some great California desert scenery (doubling for Arizona!)

And as for HK… I haven’t fired too much of their stuff, but I fired an Uzi in September and an MP5 about a month later. I won’t say one is “better” than the other, but I’ll say that I shot more accurately with the MP5 and was able to exercise far better trigger control with it, too.

  4. *shrug* If Nottingham doesn’t want HK, then HK should take their payroll and their tax base and move on down the road. I’m sure that Nottingham can make up for the lost revenue and jobs by selling their sense of smugness.

I was about to write a reply trashing H&K, but then I realized I own an H&K MP5-22. Haters gonna hate I guess.

Apparently the main website for this believes that third world nations can afford to supply their child soldiers with HK products, instead of oh i don’t know old AK’s from the soviet union. They could try and protest them but they wouldn’t get far.

    1. Ernest Young Avatar

Right, because G3s, and MP5s are SOOO much cheaper than AKs, SKSs, RPKs and RPGs. Whenever you see images of terrorist, what are they holding. I’ve never seen a image of a third world underfunded military with HK weapons.

      1. You’d be surprised: http://www.ar15.com/forums/t_1_5/1227022_.html

Apparently HK was in on that deal as well

        1. I meant you’d be surprised at the kinds of rifles that people can get their hands on (FN, like HK is also pretty high end),

The middle east has a good stream of MP5s and G3s licensed and produced by pakistan or iran.

Those rifles have also trickled their way into africa as well, as pakistan funds their soldiers through UN peacekeeping missions. I remember Ishmael Beah’s memoirs about being a child soldier in liberia included finding a G3 alongside his AK

That FN2000 was captured from Military forces. Also, if people in the Middle East are locally producing them, then boycotting HK isn’t going to do a damn thing.

All I can think of, “Hummmm, those posters would sell for a fortune on Ebay to H&K fanboys”

    1. Ryo Ohki Avatar

Your a genius, If this idea got out every last poster in Nottingham would come up missing in under 30min.

  8. Is Disney going to sue or do they own H&K already, along with Seal Team 6.

UGG that’s all I have to say about that.

  9. That website says it’s supposed to be a “subliminal message”. I don’t think the artist really knows what that means, cause this message is pretty damn obvious to me.

  10. have ya read “the artist/poster bomber’s website”

He is posting that the US marines are guilty of “war crimes”

    his words not mine
During the 2004 offensives against the Iraqi city of Fallujah, US Marine snipers deliberately shot civilians and medical personnel and vehicles, killing thousands. The Marines’ tactical siege and destruction of the city amounted to collective punishment, which is a war crime.
In November 2005, a US Marine unit went on a rampage in the Iraqi town of Haditha, using guns and grenades to slaughter 24 unarmed Iraqi civilians including women, children and old people. When interviewed, US Iraq war veterans described such acts as common, and said they often go unreported and almost always go unpunished. The Marines are responsible for similar massacres in Afghanistan.
There has been widespread torture and abuse of detainees by US Marines in Iraq, Afghanistan and Guantánamo. Documented abuses include beatings, electrocution, burning, sexual abuse and mock executions.

maybe you should drop this post and not give him link hits as a reward???

    1. ENDO-Mike Avatar

Isn’t the torture at Abu Ghraib (iraq) common knowledge? It was on the news for months, and there are pictures and video etc…

The war crimes he speaks of at those other locations i’d have to look up. I only remember bad things happening to Americans there, nothing about slaughtering locals.

    2. I can tell you that when I spoke to a former marine and told him “Hey did you hear about all these soldiers they caught that were killing civilians in Afghanistan and making it look like an ambush?” His only response was “….and?”

Went and looked at the website. And frankly they’re focusing on HK? Why not Izhmash? Why not Colt? Springfield Armory (although that’s now defunct). Now why don’t they go to old blacksmiths because they can claim that their ancestors devised and made weapons that terrorized populations before.

    Also, from the website:

“Lets have the roster endorse HK by sporting a G36 and then say this is to show how we hate HK so much”

“’m sure the folks at HK are laughing into their tea cups over those silly posters and even sillier protesters. I know I would be!”

“H & K, perfectly average weapons with massive mark-up to pay for teutonic elf magic premium, with proprietary everything because “you suck and we hate you, the end-user.””

Frankly, to me HK were always ‘if I had the money’ kind of guns. I’d rather get a cheap Armscor 1911 for my first pistol. And probably get an M1 I keep seeing over at the antiques and curios store. But this kind of protest is just plain silly.

Oh well, if HK decides to leave Nottingham, they can go somewhere else more business friendly.
Hell, come to Northern Virginia, it’s liberal enough, but not too stupidly liberal. And we’re a business friendly state.

  14. If anything at first glance this poster looks pro-gun, and pro-hk. The rooster is carrying a firearm instead of being unjustly imprisoned due to unfair and illegal taxation by the wolf/prince john.

Unfortunately, it’s not how I first saw it. It seems like Disney and HK got joined at the hip. And it looks like the rooster is taking up arms against the oppressive Prince and his Sheriff and Adviser.

  17. hi guys, i see the only reason why people can be angry on HK. something like 10 years ago HK was banned from supply of Nepal with G36. Nepal was claimed in human rights violence. After all rifles was delivered without any UN approve. HK just sold rifles to UK branch, and branch delivered to Nepal. Simple.
