Deployed Military Dad Reads Book To Daughter

She’s two years old:

It’s neat how the fact it was pre-recorded didn’t matter.  You can tell the little girl was absolutely thrilled.

Dang it, stop cutting up onions around me!

I’ve thought about doing something like that for my son in case I die or something crazy… man, there’s those onion’s again! Freak’n…

  2. The USO offered this service in Kuwait when I went through in 09. Possibly one of the most sincere uses of technology ever.

  3. I have done this twice both from Iraq in ’10 and ’11. My kids got into a fight with each other the first year as to which one was going to read a book with Daddy and in ’11 they kept talking to me on the TV and got angry that I would not respond to their questions. They still treasure the books and will still say that “this is a book daddy read to us from work” when we read them at night.

  4. :’)
