Concealed Carriers Documentary – Trailer

This looks like it has potential:

In this gritty documentary, everyday citizens with a license to carry concealed firearms undergo ECQB Force on Force training, a form of specialty weapons training designed to enhance realism. In this unique form of training, students participate in scenarios which replicate potentially deadly force situations, in addition to replicating the stress and neurological responses experienced during actual life-threatening events.

I’ll definitely watch the full documentary whenever it comes out.  Force-on-force training interests me when it’s realistic.  This one doesn’t appear to have bamboo logs and lawn chairs, so things are already looking up for it.

I’m not too sure what’s going on at 1:04 in the video.   It looks to me like the concealed carrier, got out of his truck and entered a room to shoot someone in the back.  Isn’t that considered murder?

1:16 – This lady has an insatiable blood lust! :P  Look at that smirk when she talks about not knowing when it’s ok to take a life.

I’m sure some of you guys that are police have done a lot of this type of training.  I can see a training school for such a niche doing quite well for those that are bored with the standard shooting range targets and scenarios.

Thoughts?

  1. I can’t say much about the movie but I would seriously consider that training course! Anyone got any info on it?

    1. It looks like this may be one of Sig Sauer’s courses, based on the logos on the instructors’ clothing and the prevalence of Sig pistols.

  2. i think the idea at 1:04 was rolling up on a threat in progress. i saw a gun in his hand; maybe it was pointed at innocents unseen.

  3. Look like a fun time. I wonder if they do birthday parties?

  4. I’ve done forced options simulation training before which was pretty good. It’s in front of a screen that is laser sensitive for your handgun fitted with a laser, likewise pepper spray and a baton even. It’s something I did with a SO in California which lets your trainer pick from hundreds of variables in probably 20 different scenarios. It’s meant to get you to respond with the right type of force (spray, baton, gun) and if you fail, the paint gun shoots you if you’re too slow and the badguy gets a shot off. Sometimes active shooters (in the video) have body armor, sometimes they don’t, sometimes fake guns, sometimes not..sometimes you have a partner..or not. etc. You get cover and concealment and can be hit behind concealment so you have to pick the correct option. Fun stuff…no physical contact with anyone but the paint gun. That’s all I need to train under stress. lol

  5. Cool looking course, the video could be fun but I think they did a bad job at selling it in their trailer.

  6. If you’re interested in force on force training, there’s a company in Indianapolis, IN called Mindset Labs that offers a full line of force on force classes using UTM guns. I’ve taken most of the classes and they’re very realistic. It’s tailored for the private armed citizen.

  7. I have had the opportunity to do force on force with simunitions and everything you think you know changes. The stress level is off the charts and you KNOW it isn’t real. I would love to do a course like this.

  8. Hmm, is this for real? Its not on IMDB and there’s no information about this on the web. No website for the production company either.
