Superbowl Super Dumb Anti-illegal Gun Advertisement

The anti-illegal gun ad that will be airing during the Superbowl tomorrow:

I wasn’t thrilled about the idea of this ad in the first place, but I was at least optimistic would have spent the money well.   What a useless pile of crap though.  All anyone is going to see is two old guys in football jerseys that they are already sick of hearing talk, and then tune out. Congratulations, you just wasted $3.5 million dollars.

Oh and you both support the 2nd Amendment?  Is that some sort of updated version i’m not aware off that states “If you’re rich you have the right to be armed and/or protected”? You hypocritical scrooge-mc-duck-type-motherf….

Thoughts?

  1. Mmmmm … tag it “statist propaganda”

  2. Fuck that nazi bloomberg. Him and his brown shirt NYPD that have nothing better to do than hassle protesters and keep citizens from owning weapons to protect themselves. And how much are cigarettes in New York again? Fuck that shit hole New York. People make fun of Florida but at least we have more rights than New Yorkers.

    1. Are you referring to the Occupy protesters?

Bloomberg can say anything he wants, he is against the second amendment 100%. Piss on him.
For that matter in NYC, many amendments don’t apply, or only apply for some people, or on certain days, or with prior written permission. Forget NYC.

  4. Uhhh, did he just say over 600 million people across the nation support him? The population of the US is 300 million……

      600 mayors

      1. 600 mayors out of how many total, Mr. Hutto? Any data? I’m betting the percentage would be such a pathetic worthless number that the stated 600 sounds like another ‘standing army’ in comparison. Who listens to miscreant goons like these two anyway?

    2. 600 mayors, not that you could tell with that dick-in-mouth drunken slur of an accent he has.

  5. It’s on Bloomberg!

  6. Illegal guns are illegal, you didn’t need to spend 3.5 million to tell us that…
Whose money was that, anyway…better not have been municipal funds.

    1. Wait a second. By illegal guns he means “Guns I don’t think people should get to have because they scare me”, doesn’t he?

And here I was, thinking he was referring to stolen and smuggled weapons.

  7. I don’t see any subtext in the constitution saying criminals cant own firearms. Just saying.

Please thumbs down this video and send a message to King Bloomberg. We have over 400 thumbs down already!!!

    1. They disabled ratings and comments. Perfect!

  9. “You hypocritical scrooge-mc-duck-type-motherf….” I’m loving this line.
They should just show that episonde from family matters when Laura and Urkle talk about handing in your guns. lol. I don’t know about you but I could at least relate to the video.

    1. Hey, now. Y’all don’t go talking down Uncle Scrooge. He worked hard for his money.

  10. The comments on that video are hilarious. Almost every single one is tearing into these two douchenozzles. How long before they remove comments and ratings?

    1. And it happened.

  11. Well, seeing as they started the whole thing off with a lie: “we support the second amendment,” maybe they will see a little legal action for a violation of truth in advertising? No one? *crickets*

  12. Heck, I have a New York *State* pistol permit and if I’m caught packing in Manhattan or the Boroughs, I’m just as guilty of “having an illegal gun” as some drug dealing thug. (For the record I don’t take my guns down there – they stay locked up at home).

  13. shit, i’d love to go to that website, but i’m not a lawyer.

  14. Wal Mart is partnering with them. The address is from their site and explains how they will video tape all sales, keep their own records of the sales, not sell you a firearm even though you are approved, and it goes on.

  15. Well, I didnt actually understand its point. As Cody said, we know illegal anything is illegal, the giveaway was the word illegal. Is this just aimed at NY city? If so i think they could have got a better deal with a local tv channel and just pocketed the rest of the cash.

  16. It’s a nation-wide push for mayors to sign off on the plan and push it on their local businesses. There’s a whole list of different cities that have signed off on it.

  17. “Hi I’m Mayor mumble mouth.” “And I’m Mayor asshat.” “We are here to tell you how to run you city like a fascist dictator and overreact to a light bright with a cartoon character on it.”

  18. The spineless dick who brags about having one of the largest “standing armies” in the country and who wants to deprive me of my Constitutionally-protected rights to self-defense and ownership of property claims to “support the Second Amendment”?

Piss up a rope, you self-righteous wanker.

  19. You hypocritical scrooge-mc-duck-type-motherf…

    +1

  20. Just ran a Google for number of Cities in the US. Came up with 14,447 cities and towns.
600/14,447 = 4.153%. If you want to give up your liberties for 4.1% of mayors please go ahead.

    1. GAD. The 4.1 percentage number was even lower than I expected! Thanks for the leg-work, Mr. Jim P., I find that a simple percentage can clearly show a strength or weakness much faster that the best prose . Well done, sir, and thank you again.

  21. There is a simple stunned silence from my brain on this. Look up Yuri Bezmenov on Youtube.

They disabled rating but not marking as inappropriate content, I personally choose that it was abusing vulnerable individuals

  23. I just think it is worthy to note that apparently this commercial was only run in the D.C. market. Not nationwide as Bloomberg implied.

But of course that is the major market for Mordor on the Potomac.

  24. And how would you keep guns out of the hands of criminals, Mr. Bloomberg?

I have noticed two things about these libtards:

    1. They live in some sort of Utopia, where they think that a criminal who is willing to commit a murder or robbery is going to care about a piece of paper saying that he cannot own a weapon.

    2. Look at all of the anti-gun videos from bloomberg, the brady bunch, and similar slime… Comments and ratings disabled. I once went on the Brady Campaign’s official page in hopes of having an intelligent discussion. Instead of getting feedback or counterarguments, they deleted my comments and blocked me. So not only do they have complete and utter disrespect for the Second Amendment, they don’t seem to be too friendly when it comes to the first.

Being Russian, my family and people have seen firsthand what disarmament of the civilian population has resulted in. Before the October revolution, anybody could legally buy any gun they wanted, the only question was price. In 1929, Josef Stalin, banned civilian ownership of firearms, his reasoning behind it was this direct quote, “we don’t let them have ideas, why would we let them have guns?” These gun-grabbers are no different from Stalin ideologically speaking. If (god-forbid) they do take guns away, you can bet your bottom-dollar that you will see gulags in the states. But as far as my family is concerned, my great-grandfather, at the time of the gun ban, dug his father’s mosin-nagant into the ground. Back in 2004, my grandfather and I dug it up, cleaned it a bit, then started firing it. Works like a charm!!! Now THAT is quality which you cannot find in any modern firearm.
