MrColionNoir Reviews S03E01 Of The Walking Dead

I haven’t watched this video yet because I’m only about 20 minutes into the episode, and i’m sure it contains spoilers.  This “Everyday No Days Off” thing sometimes puts recreational stuff like that on hold.  So far in the episode though I’ve seen MAGlite suppressors, a suppressor that looks more like a loudener, guns that recoil weird or not at all, guns that fire but their slides or actions don’t reciprocate, and stupid looking muzzle flashes.  I’m sure he MUST touch on that in the above video because it was so terribly obvious.

If you have no place to watch walking dead for free, you can watch it in HD on Amazon.com for $2.99.

  1. You can watch the episode free on AMC.com

    1. Thank you MrColionNoir for making a video expressing EVERY SINGLE OPINION I had about this episode.

  2. Does seem rather dumb that they shot all the zombies in the wide open yard, but decided to go hand-to-hand in the confines of the prison itself. I would think the opposite is best. Then again this isnt the first time that the show hasnt made sense, why was France the last country to fall to the zombie hordes in season 1?

    1. One of the things I always wondered was, why did they open the gates then run around hand to hand combating the zombies?
I would had just had them keep the gate closed, and do what laurie did: bang on the fences, get them to come to me, then head-stab as many as possible before I HAVE to open the gates.

      1. I am by know means defending the show, a little part of me died when carl was sniping. but the reason that they had to go in hand to hand was because they were low on ammo and the reason they had to go in at all was to close another gate that zombies kept filing in from

        1. Good point Rabies, but still if they were low on ammo? then they certainly wasted a lot of it during the yard takeover, which allowed a lot of room for taking down the zombies by hand, bow, etc. Ammo would be much better used for clearing out tight quarters.

  3. List or characters that needed to die 10 episodes ago:
    carl,lori,rick,
I download and watch this show as its just too slow, it only took me 25mins to watch this episode as i kept skipping past the preach rick parts, the whiny lori parts etc.
The best characters are glen and maggie by far.

  4. I was hoping for some commentary on the gratuitous cocking of guns as we see in any show these days. Even the cocking of uncockable or turning off the safety of guns without safeties. Gun owners must unite and demand of Hollywood the end of gratuitous overcocking…and carrying unloaded duty guns for that matter.

The episode was nice…but pretty much the whole series has an endless endeavor of “what not to do” to it and this episode was no exception. They failed to utilize choke points. The could have taken out EVERY zombie through the fence at their leisure with those sharpened polls poked through the fence into the head of each one. Also, in the hall way, why didn’t they fight? Hershal getting nom’d on was what he deserved. Friggen duh hershal.

Hershal should be out of the picture, Rick’s wife better be gone soon (baby eating it’s way out hopefully), and I can’t wait for the Rick vs. Darrel’s brother when he comes back on.

Loved the supressors! or “loudeners” as mentioned above.

  5. If they’re going to keep to the comics this season (lol no), they haven’t found the armory yet, those weapons would have been what was laying around on the dead guards. Rick did also make note that the armory would be offsite before they set foot inside the prison.

Notice how the guns weren’t firing and it was just fake muzzle flash and poorly faked recoil? That is jimmies rustling material right there.

I suggest to anyone that is a fan of the show, pick up the comics, they are so much better, like dear freaking god they are so much better.

    1. i will agree with that, i downloaded the comics towards the end of the last season as the show wasnt fast enough. Now i have read the comics and know whats going to happen i am much happier.
The walking dead, we put the zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz’s into zombie apocalypse.

  6. At first I was: Don’t be a hat hater…then you Leonidas front-kicked him into the sea and there was much rejoicing.

  7. Ken Smith Avatar

I believe that loudener was the end of an aluminum bat possibly filled with illegal Brillo pads so as to suppress.

      hahaha yea good call!

  8. Every Zombie movie ever made is, or has been corny, and yes this one at some points is no exception and there are also firearm follies through this series, but it is what it is meant to be, entertainment.

My son and I look forward to watching this together, and WE happen to enjoy it, and that is what counts.
