Freddiew Getting Some Of That Hitman Money

I had high hopes for this video:

At least they had brass ejecting from the hitman’s guns.  I don’t recall very many of their videos having that.

Freddiew is still on a streak of mediocrity as far as I’m concerned.  We discussed this before, but it’s almost like he has to make the videos now… unlike before when he was hungry and WANTED to make them.

I haven’t played a Hitman game in a while, but I see Hitman Absolution is out, which this video was basically a promo for.

Thoughts?

  1. Still has the stupid clicking sound when guns move up, down, side to side. SO annoying

it is kind of annoying but i’ve come to accept the idiosyncrasies that hollywood have come up with and used regarding firearms for the most part. it’s just a movie.

who am i kidding, i fucking hate when they’re wrong about guns! lol

Anyone else notice that the hammers on his pistols are always up?

        1. Yeah, I noticed that on the poster in GameStop. It’s the same with the Hollywood staple of racking your slide when SHTF. How is it cool to be walking around with a gun not ready to fire? To me it just says you don’t know what you’re doing and won’t live long in this line of work (hitman, police, bank robber, etc.).

Maybe his silverballers are actually Para Ordnance LDAs or have one of those seecamp sa/da 1911 retrofit kits.

            1. I was gonna say para ordinances or sti dbl stack frames

    2. I have never seen a 1911 shoot so many rounds before unloading.

      1. They didn’t show him change, maybe they just didn’t show him reload?

  2. Meh. There will never be a cooler hitman than Jean Reno’s Leon. Ever.

  3. yeah i agree, freddie has come down a bit in his recent times. his weekly friday updates were awesome. long about sand-castle ninja they started to go downhill. i didnt even watch VGHS.

Yea I tried to give VGHS a chance, but I tapped out at episode 3. It was too geared to the Nickleodeon crowd for me.

      1. just seemed very forced. i hope he got paid a lot of money for it. video games are more than just FPSs, but i guess a platformer or puzzle game doesnt make as much money as FPS russia stuff.

  4. countless times better than the official movie, that was a terrible disappointment.

    1. They’ve actually green lit a sequel. I would much rather Timothy Olyphant film two seasons of Justified this year. By far his best role.

      1. Deadwood was the shiznit.

Agreed. This WAS by far more accurate than the movie.

    3. As long as Olga Kirilenko is showing off the goods I will pay to see any number of sequels.

      1. While seeing her was gratifying, the implication that 47 would have any romantic interest goes completely against the cold and efficient persona implied by the games, that alone completely ruined the film for me.

  5. Hot girls and a shitty video… smh

  6. Haha, he tweeted about you kids. Lets see you make a more entertaining video

  7. Movies and videos like this is not about reality. That’s the point of it all.
Same with games, how fun would GTA:SA be if you couldn’t whip out a minigun out of your back pocket?

  8. You guys are getting too upidy-fuck about stuff that doesn’t matter. I thought it was a good video because it followed the Hitman style, over the top set pieces and cool takedowns, plus a nice bit of stealth that’s in a curve between realism and “we’re trying to make this easy so that we can continue with the story and we don’t have to explain it”

Also, Freddie needs to make money. You guys have ads on your website for a reason. So that you can make money too, and I’m guessing that doesn’t serve your website costs or feed your families alone, and that’s why you sell t-shirts and merch. It’s a business. Just because people make money and have a job from this doesn’t instantly mean they are “sellouts” or whatever you wish to call them. They just want to do this for a job, and hell, the content is interesting enough to keep their audience entertained. They can’t make money to keep that loft on ads alone, revenue is cut in half because of YouTube’s rules, so something like 100K views will only get them~$50 (which isn’t enough to support them on their own) Also, you’re basing these sellout ideals on shit that can’t be proven. Just because Corridor Digital made an Assassin’s Creed 3 video doesn’t mean they were payed by Activision. They don’t promote the product in any way other than the video itself, which is different in videos that are directly supported and payed for by the companies (they would usually say “Thanks to blah blah blah for letting us produce this for them, here’s a link to their new trailer and check out the game here blah blah blah” but in this specific video, they didn’t) Look, what I’m trying to say in this is that they aren’t bad people for wanting money, they’re just doing what any other YouTuber would do if this was their only job.

As for these gun facts, honestly, it’s a simple video. If they were to focus on every last detail outside of the gun rules, they would have so much work it wouldn’t even be fun at that point. There’s a bit of style in how they do it and they can break that line of realism if they want to because they’re doing it tastefully and in a way that wouldn’t be noticed-that is if you’re not a nitpicker.

    1. Freddie got popular by making original content, and a little over a year ago, he transitioned to making paid branded content for the video game / tech industry — basically advertisements. Freddie did not attract his audience by making ads, and it’s natural that people don’t liek being expected to eat that shit up.

      1. But Freddie still does original content (fucking VGHS for god’s sake) and half of these aren’t actually payed for, some of them are done just out of the pure “Hey, we like these things, lets make a video about them” factor, such as Hitman. However I will admit there are more payed-for videos, I honestly can say they still are good. Hell, I’ll eat it up because it’s a decent meal. Yes, they are ads, but does that necessarily make them sell outs or bad videos? They run the creative process behind these videos, and companies like Atari, Square Enix, and EA give them the ability to do them. And the best part? People still enjoy them. I enjoy them because I enjoy video games, and fun. Freddie has fun with what he does, and he can do it for a living. If he needs to get dirty so that he can still have a roof over his head, that’s fine with me as long as he sticks to what he’s really known for, visual effects and fun to watch videos.

        1. Actually, scratch the point about hitman being an unpayed video. It was, I didn’t realize it. You guys need an edit button here or something.

    2. YouTube pays way more than $50 for 100k views. What are you talking about?

      1. I have $40 for 80K views on one video, no TrueView ads (before/after ads), it all depends really where your audience is (using adblocker and not actually interested in ads, etc etc)

  9. freddys a faggot plain and simple. If I ever get to meet him Ill definitely kick his ass

    1. Damn dude, someone’s all up and arms.
