Kill Scumbags – Raise Money For Breast Cancer

I read into this that buying a box and never using your concealed carry pistol isn’t going to raise as much money:

Why use scary looking black talons that the media will villainize you over?  See them try and spin a story where some guy that broke into your house to kill your family got Mozambique’d with cute lil’ pink “flex tipped” rounds.  Ooooooo I just wanna pinch that flex tip’s fat cheeks.

hornady-ammunition-logoThoughts?  Do you hate breast cancer and love dead bad guys as much as I do?

I’m a bit leery of a 9mm 90gr bullet moving at 1050 or so fps. 4″ bbl and getting only 1200fps out of it. The ballistic gel test they showed appeared to only be 7 or so inches. That’s pretty horrible. I guess a gun is better than no gun. Their critical defense 115gr feel awesome out of my 3″ XD-SC.

But don’t you see? The less-than-acceptable penetration just means you get to put more rounds into the target. They sell more ammo to fight breast cancer and you get to shoot more. Win-win. And like Mike said, as much as a zealous DA might want to throw you in prison for emptying a 33 round GLOCK mag into a mugger, as soon as the jury sees you used pink anti-breast cancer bullets the case will fall apart.

Yeap, if it is pink the case will not sink your lawyer would say.

The same velocity but a lighter weight bullet? So it is a really expensive target load? And when are these assholes going to start selling brown tipped bullets, where a portion of the proceeds will go to help fight prostate cancer? Hell, even if your woman gets breast cancer, it’ll be easy to talk her in to getting implants.

LOL I love the brown tipped prostrate bullet promo idea.

I went :| at the last part of your comment though considering breast cancer often spreads and can kill the person elsewhere.

Just trying to make a joke. But in all seriousness why is there so much breast cancer stuff out there but never any prostate cancer stuff? According to the CDC there was 210k cases of breast cancer and 214k cases of prostate cancer in 2008. Even Lance Armstrong is doing breast cancer specific rides, but not testicular cancer specific rides…

You know what? Lance Armstrong can do whatever the hell he wants. I’ll take Rachel Stevens over him any day :D

Now, that’s for testicular cancer. The prostate check one is probably for the more alternative crowd :p

Spoken like someone unfamiliar with just how horrible breast cancer is and just how ugly reconstructions are.

I’d take the mousiest A-cup in the world of real breast over silicone bags.

And I hope you never have to live with seeing the results of either breast cancer or a reconstruction.

Doesn ‘t matter what color it is, it maters if it works. If this works, pink is pretty cool. If it doesn’t, it could be a Ralph Lauren exclusive color and it wouldn’t be worth the price.

Though I do like the idea of lower recoil self-defense rounds… I’m jsut not sure these guys are doing it right.

My thoughts exactly.

I wonder what would happen if they put a tungsten spike in place of the pink nib. Would it go on through or cause more damage?

I’ll stick with Buffalo Bore 158gr in my SP101. I like my bullets either slow and heavy or light and fast (or heavy and fast, like my BB 158s). Slow and light seems like a bad idea.

Could you imagine the humiliation of the bad guy in prison when they ask him about the limp? “I jumped a guy in drag, and he shot me with a rainbow-tipped round”.
Instant bitch.

Man, I’d be embarrassed if I shot a zombie with a pink tipped bullet instead of a green tipped one because I forgot to swap them out. That’s just disrespectful to the undead.

I really really really love Hornady as a company. I wrote them once with a question and they flooded me with swag, a christmas card and their prices are awesome on their website for misc. stuff. Their attitudes toward various issues are extremely pragmatic and they have a sense of humor. If I sound like a spokesperson I probably should be, definitely guilty of cheerleading. They are a big business that feels small when you interact with them. That should be rewarded.
