Glock 30S Super Elite Tactical Undercover Operator Handgun

Their weak promo vid:

It’s no secret that I love Glock, but who the hell puts together these videos?  First of all the video’s target market is Law Enforcement, which I’m sure is a huge (but likely dwindling) part of Glock’s sales but there is obviously a larger population outside of law enforcement that carries. Since the end result of carrying is to stay alive (no matter your occupation) I don’t see why a video couldn’t be made that would appeal to both audiences.

Also, LOL at that “Glock gives me confidence to live my life” tagline still in use.  I wish I was at SHOT right now just so I could troll Glock and tell them I had ZERO confidence and was huddled up in the fetal position crying day and and day out in fear that bad guys would come get me… then I bought a S&W and that didn’t help.  I bought an AR-15 after that and still was an emotional wreck.  I got my Glock 17 though, and well… now I walk down the street with my head held high winking and girls, hi-fiving homeless dudes, and generally wreaking of confidence.  I got a raise at my job, met a supermodel, always score under par in golf, and they give me a discount whenever I go into JCrew.

Glock-LogoIn case you think the gun looks familiar, it’s just a G30SF frame with a G36 slide on it, and packs 10 rounds of .45 ACP.  WHeeeeeeeeeee. :/

Looks like 2013 isn’t the year of the Glock rifle. :(

Thoughts?

  1. Law Enforcement (particularly in the US) is what made Glock what it is today. Gotta have loyalty… That being said, LEO and/or ~elite~ operator product placement gets shit sold on the civilian market.

  2. they really need to make a single stack 9mm for CC use….you know something to compete with the S&W Shield :)

  3. They are competing with the XD-S?

reminds me of an EMINEM movie trailer

  5. yep, single stack 9 using a gen4 or SF style frame would of been nice…nicer in this vid would of been to see more than 10 seconds of what they are trying to sell…

  6. you mean they make a glock that will fire a whole ten rounds without jamming or blowing your fingers off?…
seriously? they got them to where they’ll work safely like my 1st gen ’17’ did?
nah, come off it, the 4th gen glocks are crapola, hell, hi-point beats them for function and reliability any more…

So… how’s the shoulder holster for your concealed Taurus Judge w/ buckshot working out?

Roommates glock 21 gen4 is the best shooting handgun I’ve ever shot. Recoil is almost nil, it fires anything 45acp (50rds Tula no problem!), fit and finish are nice, the gun single handedly made me well my XD SC and look for a g17gen4. I want what you are smoking.

      1. 4th Generation screwed up what was the best thing about the previous gens; 9mm. Now .40’s and .45’s are better in 4th Gen but 9mm is worse. I will only use Gen3 G19’s and G17’s so 4th Gen is useless for me.

  7. DAS re: 4th gen glock problems…
pure crappola disguised as a pistol…

  8. HAHA! Their ads are so bad..

  9. another ‘homers 2nd Mr plow ad’

Pure crapolla? Go get yourself one of those hi points that you hold in such high regards. The 4th gen problems i.e. early recoil springs have been ironed out. So whats your complaint now, texture to rough for your manicure? After 25 years of shooting, i now carry the gen 4 G19. Solid, zero malfunctuons, much better fit, light percieved recoil, easily concealable… and ive never been a fanboy. Although I’ve shot many, this is my first GlockMy . revolvers are Smith and previos semi’s are Sig. The ads are what they are, a quick look followed by junk. When the 30S hits the shelves, I’ll be taking a close look.
    Enjoy that hi point

    1. child, i bought some the first glocks to ever come into the united states….
      i had the 17, 19, 20, and 21…
      they functioned perfectly…
i joined GT, one of the 1st members ever…
      and then glock ‘improved’ them…
      and the problems started…
and the lies and evasions and the ‘kool aid overdoses’, and the denials became epidemic…
of course you’ve all forgotten the ‘frame rails’, extractors/ejectors/followers that were ‘improved’, the abundance of parts that failed, the endless evasions and excuses and service denials…
      no? then DAS…
i had to walk away, just like i did with S&W and their ‘lock’…
we sold lots of glocks even after all the bs, we sold lots of hi-points and tauri, but the glock problems kept cropping up…
you could not give me a 4th gen glock, i don’t need the aggro/worry…
deny it all exists, its not my problem…
      i’d take a 1st gen 17 in a heartbeat, it was a good pistol…
btw, i have personally seen multiple kabooms, and handled the blown up guns, the final straw was the 21 on factory ammo that was in 5 pieces…
(the 3rd gen 17 that blew on factory ammo was another ‘unexplainable’ incident…)
if you have one that works, fine, enjoy it…V
