Piers Morgan Shooting Target

Sold on eBay and touted as “Every gun owner’s favorite big game”:

Piers-Morgan-Target

$3.50 for one 18″ x 24″ shooting target like the one pictured above.  I scoffed at the laziness that went into this little scheme though, when I recognized the hoodie getup from the controversial Trayvon Martin shooting target. *slow clap*

Screenshot for posterity, because we all know the listing is going to go *poof* soon:

Ebay seller ppaselpic is nothing if not classy.  If you ask me this isn’t a good look for gun owners.  I don’t know why anyone would want to shoot Piers.  I’m sure he’s an alright guy when it comes to a lot of things.  I just wish he would keep his nose out of gun related issues, and move out of the country if he dislikes it so much here.

Tweet Piers this blog post link (@piersmorgan) and see if he mentions it in his next little anti 2nd Amendment rant on CNN.

Thoughts?

  1. Classless. This is stooping to the levels of idiots. Osama bin Laden targets are one thing, this is different. I disagree with him on gun control and think he’s a “bloody scoundrel”. I won’t shoot a target of him because I disagree with his ideologies though.

    1. Hah! You haven’t seen the targets Department of Homeland security is using then. Pictures of pregnant women wielding guns, children and the elderly.. Come on now.. The people sworn to protect us are shooting at pictures depicting us.

  2. Bam, now all I need are shooting targets of Michale Moore, Shinji Ikari, Tommy Wisseau, those two bitches from “HOT PROBLEMS” and Haruhi Suzimiya (?) and my life will be complete.

Given, it won’t look good when the FBI inevitably raid my house and the media demonizes me for shooting targets with children/celebrities on them, but that’s a price I’m willing to pay.

  3. Tar and Feathers, it was good enough for his forefathers, its more than fitting for him.

Just throwing more firewood into the “anti-gunners” fireplace. Unfortunately this type of thing just adds to their fears about guns.

I really wish pro 2nd amendment people out there would stop and think a little more before posting something like this, especially on something as high profile as Ebay.

What makes you think that this ISN’T an anti-gunner inside-agent?

  5. Hahah. Nothing better than a British guy holding a German pistol (Walther p99)

Sorry piers, even I don’t think you deserve this. Anything of this like is bad taste. Protected under 1st amendment yes, but bad taste.

  6. Is it just me, or does Piers have 5 fingers plus a thumb on his shooting hand?

Just more proof that “we” are our own worst enemy.

“…and move out of the country if he dislikes it so much here.”

The problem is he doesn’t dislike it here. He lives here for all the good things it affords him (and the fact that he was nearly run out of his own country on a rail), but then he tries to make it like the place he came from. This is no different than what happens in New England (and to a lesser degree in Florida, for that matter) when dyed-in-the-wool New York libruls move into freedom loving places like Vermont and New Hampshire and then start agitating to change the local laws to be more to their liking.

Fuck, I’d be selling those things for ten apiece. At least. Given the fact that they surely are going to be a limited offer.

The ad get pulled yet? I’m too lazy to look.

Interesting… still there. Maybe it’s an inside job, and Piers’ crew actually put those targets up to create controversy and make gun owners look bad. :P

It lacks…not really necessary. We need to present an educated front. This makes us fit his description of gun lovers. We are not Neanderthals. We shoot everyone equally. :)

  12. Peirs Morgan is “an alright guy?” You mean the guy who faked war crimes photos? The guy who OK’ed the hacking of peoples phones? The guy who was involved in stock manipulation at Daily Mirror and got off with a fine and left his co-conspirators to face jail time? I am thinking your definition of “an alright guy” might be a little suspect…

haha man I don’t know anything about him. I don’t do research on people I don’t give a shit about, but from what you’re saying he’s a pretty shitty person.

Piers is a douchebag…. but I don’t wanna shoot him.

    1. everyone in the UK does, thats why he ran away.

  14. This is wrong, Piers Morgan is like a defenseless little lamb, and I dont believe in animal targets. A target in his image is just too pathetic to waste ammunition on. On the bright side, maybe these targets will send Morgan back to his native habitat.

  15. It’s a punk move.

  16. Bad form. I abhor piers, but this is tasteless and doesn’t help us at all.

The seller is probably anti-gun and trying to further their agenda by making us look bad. Any seasoned shooter knows that these targets arent allowed at basically any range and in some states probably illegal.

That might be true near you, but around me, I don’t know of any ranges that have target restrictions. I don’t even use silhouettes, generally, but I think that’s a stupid, feel-good rule, and any range that institutes it will cease getting my business, and will hear the reason why. It’s unnecessary political correctness (is that redundant?)
