Vigilant Spectre Is Like Cancer To Glocks

I’m no metallurgist / polymer expert, but I don’t see how a little cold weather would have caused this:

The description:

Glock fail again. Cause: its cold outside. Sure hope the home invasion happens in the summer.
And Yes this Glock has been to a Glocksmith, whatever the fuck that means.

First of all let me say I’m not a fan of seeing people shoot where there definitely isn’t a backstop.  What if someone ripped by there on a snowmobile?  I’d be pretty mad if I caught a stray just out for a leisurely ride.  I know Vigilant Spectre is going to come on here and say “it was private land etc… etc…”.  Still reckless if you ask me.

Secondly, maybe I’m not operator enough to handle advanced handgun manipulation, but I really don’t like to see someone palm the entire front of the slide with part of their hand hanging over the muzzle.

Third, they said the Glock has been to a “Glocksmith”.  Sure fine whatever… but those guys being the tinkerers that I know they are, I wonder if they detail stripped the crap out of it at one point and tried to do some stuff like “trigger bar polishing” etc… and otherwise mess with the factory configuration of the handgun?

Finally, I don’t understand why someone would publicly or privately “wish” for a home invasion as they have a few times in the past, and in the description of this particular video. You just know they want to try out their sweet CQB disarming moves though.

Vigilant-Spectre-Winter-Vehicle-OpsBy far their best Glock related video is the one where they shoot past their feet while sitting in an algae and rain water filled tractor tire. haha I consider myself creative, and I couldn’t even make shit up that funny if I tried.

Thoughts?

  1. That is some of the poorest weapons handling I’ve seen in a while. The guy had a failure to fire and didn’t perform any immediate action to his weapon? He continuously muzzled the people he was shooting with! These guys are a menace.

I laughed at the camera guy yelling to get down or cover while shooter was attempting a mag change but the rest of the time you can stand straight up and bumble around in the woods.

    2. I was going to ask if anyone else noticed the camera man getting swiped several times. I would never re-holster without racking out the last round. As unlikely as it is, I wouldn’t risk a delayed ignition shooting myself in the leg.

  2. Odds 100 to 1 that the retard put oil in his slide’s striker channel. Freezing temps will increase the viscosity of the oil in the striker channel which will retard the forward velocity of the striker enough to prevent ignition of the primer. But of course these are only opinions of someone who obviously isn’t a true operator like these guys.*

*im a Glock certified armorer, not a “glocksmith” , so take my comments with a grain of salt.

He is also using a metal non-OEM magazine. That’s a sign right there that he they are doing some dumb shit with their Glocks.

Also that idiot sweeps the hell out of the cameraman with his carbine and the Glock.

Yeah, not using cold weather lube was my first thought. That shit turns to mollasses in the snow.

  4. Coldest I’ve fired a Glock was -25C (about the same in F I think), my old issued Gen2 G17 worked like a charm. Of course, any and all weapons will have to be treated differently when it gets cold but I thought that was mechanical life 101, taught by parents to kids everywhere….maybe not in VS’ part of ‘Murica.

Please note I have no problem with ‘Murica, just unsafe and uneducated weapons handling.

For the record, it was a sprig fed tractor tire.

    1. I give you guys props for replying on this post. What you guys are trying to do sounds good in theory, but I think the implementation fell short. I like to be as unbiased as possible, but I HAVE NEVER seen this many problems with a glock ever. Have you done anything to the mechanics of the gun?

      1. Ditto. I hated Glocks…

…until they championed in situations where others fell short.

Muck, Mud, Sand, Snow, … I’m still working on space.

I can honestly say no. The only think that was changed from original configuration was the maritime spring cups ( because I was having issues with it failing wet- gave some relief) and the replacement spring assembly from Glock. For the record I still carry it

I sense DIY “glocksmithing”. I’d bet the guts have been “polished” (likely with a dremel) into fun new shapes that Gaston did not intend.

It’s only a matter of time when an amateur porn video of themselves banging each other will emerge…hell might even be some form of bestiality. I wouldn’t be surprised at all. “The Spectre” should of stayed in the barrel he was put in…if anyone gets this google The Spectre. they use their name based on a comic book character! LMFAOOOOOOO

  9. You stupid idiot don’t you understand that when the invasion happens we’ll need this elite force on our side! These guys operate harder than dev group!

I have a gunsmith friend who is fond of telling a story of an epic failure of an early model glock where it was run over with a car during an Arctic winter and it shattered. But that was in temperatures far colder than what this looked like.

I would also like to add that this gunsmith is a big fan of glocks, to him the moral of the story is don’t crush your glock under a vehicle when you are visiting the Arctic!

Oh my fucking God!! He ran so fast in that intro… I’m so embarrassed that people think of gun owners like this.
