Somebody Picked A Bad Accent – Glock Commercial

These Glock commercials are getting worse:

I’m not old, so I am not 100% sure… but was Gunny supposed to be Humphrey Bogart?  Regardless, it was really bad.

R-Lee-Ermey-GunnyIt’s like they do these commercials now only for the sake of doing them.  Just because you’re selling handguns, it doesn’t mean you can’t make the commercials interesting.

Thoughts?

    You weren’t kidding….

  3. Good god.

  4. Not that I would be interested in purchasing a Glock anyway, but if I were interested in one, these terrible advertisements could convince me to look at something else.

  5. They should just do these commercials with no dialog, then at the end you could hear Clint Eastwood narrating: “Ever notice how you come across somebody once in a while you shouldn’t have fucked with? That’s me.”

  6. Definitely on the bad side. It’s when they lose touch with reality that they start to suck.

Remember the priceless ads from Mastercard. They started to suck when they went away from reality.

But one that I would like to have seen is a call from spouse to bearded husband during a storm. The ad would have been guy in suit and tie. The stops would have been to buy a chainsaw and work clothing. He would have arrived home to a tree on the house. The tag line: Getting your life back to normal, priceless.

  7. Bleeech… the diner was much better.

Are glocks stripper cooch proof? Maybe Mattv20099 can find out.

It’s called a theme, get over it.

Much like, Charmin toilet paper bears, A talking Ms Butterworth bottle, the Pilsbury Doughboy’s laugh, and the Lay’s chips slogan.

It’s a shitty theme, that’s the issue. If my blog focused on toilet paper, syrup and dough I’d likely make fun of those mundane commercials as well.
