CHIraq – Chicago Is A Violent Place

Violent crime in Chicago is out of control. Vice takes a look:

Gun-Control-Chicago3:40 – “We using handguns in Chicago while they trying to ban assault rifles.  We don’t use assault rifles in Chicago. We get up on you baby.”  hahah real talk.

The gang mentality is insane.  I couldn’t imagine living my life always worried about getting killed just for walking around somewhere mid-day.

Thoughts?

  1. When I was still doing journalism, I actually embedded myself alone in the same area. I got some great, wild stories.

  2. It looks like we have more of a lack of parenting and children that are scared to throw fist. I’ve had firearms since I was 9. My first was a .22 9shot revolver that I used to check my rabbit traps before school. I got up at 4:30 check the traps shot the game (if I was lucky) cleaned and skined it, put it in the frige for dinner. Took a shower went to school..Did it again after school. I’ve had dozens of pistols and rifles through out my life (was even in the army 5 years) and never aimed a weapon at a person in anger..Got into quite a few fights though.. many of the people I fought became life long friends..

But, let’s blame the guns it’s much easier. While we’re at it lets blame forks for fat kids…

  3. Father pfleger, the soccer moms don’t raise GANG BANGERS. That’s why sandy hook was much worse. Gang members killing each other? Yeah don’t see much to care about from my perspective. That entire gene pool out there needs a large dose of chlorine.

Couldn’t have said it better. Turned it off at 7:00.

Then you missed the whole point, that the City/Gov completely let it’s people down, regardless of the guns.

        1. I didn’t finish either yet. I will, but I rarely get to just chill on the computer and catch up, so I didn’t want to hear a bunch of anti-gun crap when I’m trying to relax :)

I recently watched the new Judge Dredd movie, the way gang members live completely reminds me of that post apocalyptic view of the future.

father whoever… and politician lady…. those are the only people who actually want it to change. The people living that way don’t even seem to care all that much. They have accepted this way of life. No amount of policy changes or community organizing is going to change anything until the people living that life desire to change. I have no doubt some of them do, they are the ones that actually finish school and get the hell out. Policy doesn’t make a dad stick around and it doesn’t make a mom beat her kid’s ass if they skip school. When they don’t respect themselves and their family members enough to expect more, no way on earth they’re going to respect the guy down the street…. Beyond that, if the justice system wasn’t a revolving door and just left criminals locked up, it would drastically improve the situation…. I’m happy to put some of my tax dollars towards building prisons and hiring some of those unemployed veterans to staff them.

  6. wtf they talk bad about the hospital that stopped treating gun shot wounds but from a economic stand point they have to; if the continued they would go bankrupt, close, and then they cant treat anyone or anything or did i miss something in economics.

I shudder anytime some one says the government is at fault. This is America. Get off your dead ass and do something good.

We can’t “fix” chicago. They will need to fix themselves. Make some damn parks, get some geenry going. What a crock.

  9. Ya want to solve this?

Easy solution, start issuing hunting license for gangbangers. When walking out of your house means that your will get dropped at 500 yards…..
    ……. problem solved

    1. i think they should be considered pest so there is no limit and year around

  10. I watched the whole thing, unfortunately. This had the same “blame the gun” feel but it was not a complete gun bash as other videos. I have seen from the left. It had no conclusion or suggestions other than the vague “Let’s blame the gun,” and the pass-a-law “Do something!” that you hear from the left.

The anti-gun laws don’t help either. That just makes the law abiding dependent on the LEO, which is clearly overwhelmed. But if the gang-bangers knew almost everyone, including the law abiding, was armed, would they be willing to pull out and shoot at random?

This is like helping an alcoholic. You can’t make the alcoholic change, but you can reward him for change.

I genuinely don’t understand how anyone thinks from this video that banning guns has any effect on the reduction of violent crime.

In Shitcago: blame guns, outlaw guns, have a bigger gun problem, and still blame guns.
Why do the school age kids want to kill each other if they walk into the wrong neighborhood? GUNS! Guess how these kids are going to turn out when they grow up.

In other places like VT or NH or the South and Southwest: More guns available, violent crime goes down.

There seems to be a defect within the people in that community. Guns are banned, everyone continues to kill each other, only the law abiding and hard working legitimate gun owners move out. And then, you are left with the shit of society. This poor community is then imposed as the standard of gun control for the rest of the country.

Kiss my ass Chicago. We all had guns in highshcool because we shot on the rifle team. We all had access to handguns too, but surprisingly no one was killing each other for walking on the wrong side of the street. The problem lies elsewhere, only a fool would believe that banning guns would stop violent crime in this type of culture.

  12. Well….perhaps we can take comfort in the fact the gangbanger at around 3:15 is exercising proper safety techniques and keeping his fingers off of the trigger.

I listen to that priest talk and the only thing that was crossing my mind while he spoke was the following word: Homo.

    1. I think that says more about you than about him :)

I was born and raised in Chicago. I always wanted to go west and was warned that Los Angeles was the definitive U.S. gang war zone. Now I’ve lived in LA for eleven years and Chicago has taken the top spot. It’s deeply ironic and very sad.
