Shotgun Ammo Testing On Drywall

Joe Biden recommends these things for home defense. Demolition Ranch takes a look:

Demolition-Ranch-ENDO-AK47-Selector-SwitchBiden later called for chocolate shooting guns to make the world safer, so who knows.  Anyway the moral of this video is to make sure you hit what you’re aiming at if you have neighbors in an apartment building, or kids in another room.  If you’re #ForeverAlone might as well go with the 000 buckshot to do the most damage.

You can grab the AK-47 Selector Switch t-shirt that Demolition Ranch is wearing from ENDO Apparel.

  1. Hitting the bad guy still doesn’t guarantee your loved ones will be safe if they are in the projectiles’ trajectory.

I’m curious what effect, if any, re-performing the test with the drywall spaced 10-12 feet apart would have on penetration.

Beat me to it. Also, he should be a few more feet back from the initial wall.

I use rpg for home defense.

  4. I agree with trinity, the drywall must be spaced to “average” room dimensions if this is to test potential over penetration while defensive shooting within a home. (what this showed has been done over at the “box o truth” I think several years ago.)

Also, it would be nice to have a “target” that would mimic the “bad guy”, (gelatin or maybe wet phone books?) in front of the first wall, and a “good guy target” behind the wall to see if they would be safe during a shooting.

And don’t forget other common calibers in the same test.

I look forward to seeing more…

  5. I think his distance from the first “wall” is realistic. The separation afterward isn’t, even for a closet.

But the point still remains that the next room isn’t even really safe for people against bird shot.
