New Jersey Bro Cops Try To Out Bro One Another

Bro do you even police?  Concern over a potential impersonation carjacking:

hahah hilarious.

Full Story – cliffviewpilot where there is also a transcript outlining the points in the video of interest.

My-New-Haircut-broski-yaegerFuggitaboutit.  If movies taught me anything, it’s that different departments and different agencies even do not like anyone stepping on their toes.

Thoughts?

Hahaha could you imagine sitting in a car on a routine traffic stop seeing this happening outside?

it gets good at 6min in, this is typical NJ shit. Now you can clearly see why these are the only guys who can carry a gun in NJ, its for our safety.

The plainclothes are jackasses to be sure but in hindsight the trooper should have called in to see if the other department had a stop going at the time before he walked up on them and if fake cope. maybe started a shootout in traffic

from what ive read, the bergen county cops should have called the state police and let them know that they were pulling someone over on the turnpike which is the troopers area of responsibility, not theirs.

in nj state police are like highest levels of police, not like some states where they are joke highway patrol.

The local PD could/should have informed the state police they were making a stop. The State Trooper could have called the PD to check, but then again he may have been more concerned with making sure a carjacking was not in progress. Even if the State Trooper was a little sloppy, the local PD guys didn’t need to get belligerent, start slinging the F-word around, and call their supervisor in to complain and back them up. What a couple of babies. If they at like this with a State Trooper, just imagine how they act with civilians.

Here’s another reason I’m glad I left the northeast. Where I’m at state law says a (misdemeanor) traffic stop is only lawful if the officer is either in full uniform or driving a marked vehicle.

This goes back to years ago when the njsp lost alot of county’s and townships. There has always been friction between local pd and the state police in NJ. But these guys are acting way out of line lol

NJ Turnpike is state trooper’s jurisdiction. Not sure where this is, Secaucus is Hudson county anyways. Plainclothes is way out of line

In Jersey’s version of Schrödinger’s cat, if a county cop and a Statie each have a police dog with them, which mutt gets shot first?

I couldn’t get that one line from “The Departed” out of my head:

“You got a nice suit at home or do you like coming to work everyday dressed like you’re goin’ to invade Poland?”

Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?

I sure am glad for the ubiquity of cameras and the easy access to social media when it comes out that a cop, who is supposed to uphold the law, shows how big a jackass he is.

Thankfully these jackasses are in the minority, and hopefully they can be canned after this display.
