Tame Deer Licks Gun Barrel With Gunfire In Background

Not a single ____ was given by this deer:

deer-fawnAHHHH fawns are so cute.  I wonder why it was it started licking the barrel?  Maybe it was salty from the gun shot residue that may have blown back?

Doesn’t even flinch when they are shooting.  Too bad such a nice deer is toast next hunting season if it’s that tame.

Thoughts?

Either a smartass deer or just deaf.

Could be deaf. I’d be tempted to take it home and train it to carry me into battle.

I’m going with deaf. Gunfire’s painful enough to us so it’s gotta be excruciating to something with such good hearing.

Plot twist: The deer was infiltrating human territory to give all the humans lymes disease infected ticks.

Just me or did those not seem like .308 rifles?

He was shooting a FN FNAR. Which is a Nato 7.62×51 round. But it didn’t sound like it when he fired it.

If it’s deaf it probably won’t last long.

Just had to laugh at that one.

deafness would also explain how it isn’t traveling with its mother. ie, abandoned or just couldn’t hear the sound cues that deer use to stay together.
