FPSrussia Tests The G2 R.I.P. Ammunition

9mm and .308, not the .300 BLK R.I.P. Ammo I blogged about yesterday:

So FPS thinks it’s a “very deadly self defense round (1:30)” even though the general consensus is that it’s a marketing gimmick.  Cool barely-even-putting-effort-into-forcing-the-accent story bro.  He’s got a white lab coat on though, so he must know what he’s talking about.

RIP-AmmunitionThat Kriss Sphinx looks pretty cool.  I haven’t really heard anything about them, but from some quick google searches they appear to be in the HK price range of $1000+. Meh, anything special about them I should be made aware of?

Pretty much a useless video besides a couple seconds of cool slow motion.

Thoughts?

I love when he says that he “Proved” that it cycled. He did nothing of the sort on camera! Every test was a single shot demonstration!!

As for your question about the Sphinx. The Sphinx is just imported by the Kriss Group. It’s original manufacturer is a competition pistol maker in Europe. The Sphinx is just the “Economical” version of what they manufacture. Hickock45 did a video on this particular pistol if you want to know more.

Ah ok yea I was wondering why the website appeared to be nice like Kriss’, but didn’t have any of the Kriss branding. I’ll have to check out that Hickok45 vid, thanks!

  2. Kyle’s recommendation is enough to discount it in my book!

  3. Really .308 out of a LCP, Damn? Oh wait, the “Fake Russian” said .380 Auto!

I think the last few videos are proof that Kyle’s old manager was the brains behind the operation… either that or whoever is producing now is terrible at it.

Stop the accent. Please, PLEASE stop the accent. It’s like catching Madonna doing that shitty English accent from time to time when she wants to sound different. Stop it, Kyle. Please?
