LAV Looks At The M3 Carl Gustav

OOoooo yeah:

Larry-Vickers-Hover-SunglassesThe flechette round sounds like it would be cause for a bad day haha.

Weak that they didn’t let LAV shoot it, but the other footage was cool anyway.

  1. I used the Carl G M2 back when I served in the Canadian Armed Forces in the late 1980s. Heavy to carry and not recommended for use against the latest and greatest Soviet bloc tanks. This M3 looks nice…wish I had a chance to fire it before I left the service.

  2. Meh, a definite step up vs say an AT4.

But hands down, as far as infantry weapons go, with respect to sheer brute penetration and armor destructive potential, the TOW still rules them all. Though the javelin’s tracking system is pretty cool.

But then again, if its just me, and I have to carry it, yeah, that ain’t happening with a TOW– not even with 2 or 3 your buddies. So then, make mine a Javelin or an M3 Carl Gustav–situation dictates.

Isn’t that the LAV firing it @0:47 in the video?

    1. That’s an AT4, not a Gustav.
