In case you’re wondering where shes from… she was the Playboy “Playmate Of The Year” in 2007.
Hahahah she did NOT like that flame thrower. She really seemed to have fun shooting everything else though, and actually seemed to hold her own for the most part.

Eight Primary schools in Liverpool (UK) are using the notorious Grand Theft Auto video game to teach pupils about violence.
The sessions are supposed to help youngsters understand the consequences of gun and knife crime. The youngsters are also given trading cards with images from the video game and the cartoons, alongside real-life images of drunks, knives, syringes and parents arguing. The youngsters are asked to say whether what they see is ‘good real life’, ‘bad real life’, ‘not real life’ or ‘not sure’.

Sounds like one of the dumbest ideas I have ever heard. Why are they even bothering to educated kids in the UK on gun and knife crime anyway? I thought both were banned there. If there is one thing I hope the kids take away from this Grand Theft Auto education, it’s that its OK to fight back. Basically if the guy shooting at you is using a handgun, by all means use a rocket propelled grenade launcher to take care of business.
Speaking of Grand Theft Auto… a new one comes out on April 13th for PS3 called “Episodes From Liberty City”… You can buy it on Amazon – HERE for only $38.54

Developed by Colt back in the 1930s. The rate of fire is listed at 700 rounds per minute (For comparison, the Glock 18 ROF is 1200 rounds per minute):

The curved magazine is pretty unique looking on a handgun!
Notorious gangster John Dillinger (who the recent movie Public Enemies is based on) and his gang had a similar weapon in their arsenal, only theirs was converted to .38 super.
Notice the fully auto M1911A1 has the same foregrip as Dillinger’s Thompson Sub machine gun does in the movie poster. This is obviously for better controll with such a high rate of fire.
There are a number of pictures of the Dillinger M1911A1 floating around, but this one is the best quality I have saved (Click picture to enlarge):

Pretty classy looking if you ask me!

Making breakfast couldn’t get any more manly:
I’ve discovered a new way of cooking bacon. All you need is: bacon, tin foil, some string, and.. oh whats it called?… oh yeah, an old worn out 7.62mm machinegun that is about to be discarded, and about 200 rounds of ammunition.
1) You start by wrapping the barrel in tin foil. Then you wrap bacon around it, and tie it down with some string.

This software is designed to automatically detect, track and anticipate moving targets so that a robotic turret, powered by off-the-shelf hobby servos, can accurately engage them. The turret can be bought or built to aim a paintball gun, second video/still image camera, airsoft gun, water gun, nerf gun, laser, etc…
Source – The Sentry Project
Check out the video:

Very cool idea, and setup. Seems like the software and hardware could use a bit of work when it comes to stability, speed, and accurate targeting… judging by the company’s website, the programmer is hard at work on software upgrades.
The total cost for this rig (minus the laptop and gun) is $250
My only question is, how long until someone pops a real gun into that rig and causes some major damage?
Seems like a huge liability considering the way you fire a toy gun and a real gun is pretty much identical. The only thing that would likely need to be upgraded is the strength of the turret, because of the increased recoil it would need to withstand.
If you buy one of these please don’t hook it up to a computer labeled “HAL 9000″

From the description:
shot this with a Casio EX-F1 of my shooting my Browning 12 Gauge shotgun. The clips that are at the 4:5 aspect ratio were taken at 300fps. The other clips were filmed at 600fps. All of the footage is raw, no color grading/image adjustment was added. Sadly, the sun was on the left side of the gun, so everything on the right side is in shadow. I couldn’t turn my gun around and shoot the other way though.

Some of my thoughts on Digital SLRs:
The picture on the right, is of the camera that was used to take the footage. Pretty interesting how it is a Digital SLR and not a conventional video camera.
From some recent “behind the scenes” footage I have seen, it seems that a lot of music videos are now being filmed with digital SLRs. They offer manual focus, a plethora of manual adjustment, and high resolution, for much cheaper then you could get a conventional video camera with comparable features. It even comes with a beautiful lens compared to most lenses you would get with video cameras in the same price range.
Check out the Casio Exilim EX-F1 at Amazon – HERE
At about 1/2 the price of the Canon 7D I am obsessed with someday getting, the Casio EX-F1 is likely a good value.

This guy sets out to prove whether or not grabbing the slide of an auto pistol in a close quarters gun fight would disable the gun by causing it not to cycle.
It takes four and a half minutes, some sarcasm, humor, and blood. And the result? It is proven that you can in fact cause a gun not to cycle by grabbing the slide when a round is fired.
Definitely good to know, because it would sure beat getting shot… I don’t think I’ll be trying this any time soon though.

Any Australians that could provide some insight into how he has some of those guns?
I thought guns were highly restricted and auto ones effectively banned in Australia after the 1996 Port Arthur massacre, but then I saw that music video.
Wikipedia lists all the Australian firearms categories, notably this one:
Category R/E: restricted weapons: machine guns, rocket launchers, assault rifles, flame-throwers, anti-tank guns, Howitzers, artillery, .50-calibre BMG weapons, etc. (Collectors in some states only, weapons must be comprehensively deactivated. Deactivated firearms are still subject to the same storage and licensing requirements as ‘live’ firearms in many states.)
Source – HERE
The Sporting Shooters Association of Australia (SSAA) makes no mention of the R/E category anyone on their website – HERE
Another thing that I found odd in the music video was that Steve fly’s somewhere, presumably in Australia (because of the Right Hand Drive car) to purchase that car to shoot up. But he pays with US currency… is that commonplace in Australia? Maybe that last part with the automatic weapons and the rocket launchers was filmed here in the U.S.?

Hopefully the man behind the trigger ends up being alright.

According to the article, officials say a hand loaded shell may be to blame. My additional theories include the cartridge firing out of battery, or else an obstruction in the barrel very close to the receiver.
This is what the receiver is supposed to look like:

at the Scottsdale Gun Club for
ONLY $1250 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I realize that not everyone can buy these, which is why the price is so low. The price is reasonable enough though that if you did meet the qualifications then it would be stupid NOT to have one.
This item is a Post 1986 Dealer Sample, available only to Class 3 dealers with a Law Enforcement demo letter. All NFA rules apply.
This item is a Select Fire (Semi Auto / Full Auto) Glock 17. It uses a conversion device to allow fully automatic operation. The host pistol is a 3rd Generation Glock 17. On full-auto, this firearm operates at approximately 1200-1300 rounds per minute.
The conversion device was manufactured by The Armory of Scottsdale Arizona and the model number is GLK18.
That, or an actual Glock 18 is my dream gun!

You might want to take a look at this when considering what caliber and type of ammo to carry.
I never realized that the expansion and retention varied so much even within the same caliber depending on the style of bullet you use.
