Retro Winchester Christmas Ad

They really need to bring ads like this back.  The 2nd amendment of the constitution hasn’t changed, why should gun advertising be so radically different?

This may look off-topic, but bear with me.

Occasionally, when I miss an episode of a TV show I follow, I resort to the network’s website to view it and catch up with the plot. Their online player intersperses periodic ads in with the playback. The last few times I watched an episode that way, it struck me that EVERY SINGLE AD was for hard liquor. And why not? They’ve been forbidden to use TV any more. They’ve been forbidden to run ads in movie houses. They’ve been forbidden to use billboards. Many magazines reject them. In fact, I can’t remember the last time I saw a “moving” ad for a liquor product. Frankly, I found their presence morally refreshing.

Maybe it’s time for gun manufacturers to get into the current century and begin exploiting some of these new unregulated ad channels.

Interesting observation Henry. I agree, more companies need to start thinking out side the box like that when it comes to advertising in today’s “touchy” world. There definitely is a lot of money to be made for all parties involved, so why not!?
