Whaaaaaaaaaat?

Damn I guess the schools in Chicago are rougher then I thought.

Why 27?  Are all the faculty members going to learn how to use them?

The police model they want is the cream of the Remington 870 crop… Pretty nice aftermarket parts on there too!

As you can probably tell, I have a lot of fun doing photoshops :P

  1. Hm. 27.

    Anyone know how many schools there are in the Chicago area? Or the downtown area? Probably more than that, but it is a somewhat odd number (in both aspects of the word).

  2. Nice guns, but who is using them? Teachers, or some sort of armed security?

    Nice photoshop btw

      Appears that their special agents work waste and fraud cases involving education funds and programs and have full law enforcement and training, and sometimes conduct search warrants and arrests.

      1. SWAT teams for school systems … getting hairy out there, folks.

        On a related note, our neighborhood day-care lady has a CCL;
        so, a carrying-carer, ya know?

        The beat goes on…

          Yea the world seems to be getting rougher every day! :(

      2. That’s funny, the story includes that this special team that’s receiving these shotguns has never, in their history, had to discharge a weapon in the line of duty. They must be expecting to run up against some pretty mean teachers and school administrators who are misappropriating funds in the future! Really? Tactical shotguns for investigating white-collar fraud crimes, involving schools? Sounds to me like a case of some “use it or lose it” money in the budget.

        My initial thought was that maybe these were to be kept in the office somewhere at schools in Chicago for the use of police officers on duty at the school, or faculty, in the case of a deranged student deciding to go on a shooting rampage. That sounds like a better use for them than the investigation of misappropriated school funds.

          Good call Josh, I bet that’s exactly what happened. Funny they didn’t pick something more low key though. Spending the funds on computers or something wouldn’t have made the news.

      Thanks!
      Sounds like some sort of education police force that deals with fraud etc.. (see MattB’s link below)
