10 Fictional Guns You Wish You Could Shoot

If I could only pick one, It would be tough…

I suppose I was always fascinated with the versatility of the Golden Gun from the Bond movie The Man With The Golden Gun.

The gun instantly kills with one shot, it uses a solid gold bullet.  The gun uses a solid gold fountain pen for the barrel, a gold cigarette case as the handle, and the trigger is a gold cuff link.

What’s not to like?

What fictional gun do you wish you could shoot? (It doesn’t have to be on the list.)

      Classic choice Gene.

  2. Han’s Blaster Pistol for sure. Too bad the author of that article is a moron. Han was clearly a smuggler, not a bounty hunter.

      Yep definitely a smuggler!

  3. All of the guns from District 9 were freaking amazing. I was really impressed at their use of both real guns like that strange South African white gun the MNU troops were holding and all the sci-fi lightening guns and such.

Also it really bothers me that Hellboy’s gun has completely unsupported chambers. It bothered me when the movie came out and it bothers me now. Also that’d have to be one hell of a latch considering it’s a top break an no top breaks can handle .357 let alone that monster cartridge he’s using.

I’ll have to give district 9 a chance again someday. I wasn’t in the mood for that style of movie when I started it up a while back, so I ended up just getting irritated and stopping it.

Heh yea the hellboy gun is a real life KABOOM waiting to happen.

Could be why those cartridges are so massive ;).

Still, though, in all seriousness, the inherent weakness of top-breaks makes me sad – that style of firearms is undeniably awesome, but the inability to chamber any but the weakest modern rounds is such a drag.

  4. In no particular order: Phaser, M41A, M56 Smart Gun, a BFG, any of the 1000 railgun variants out there (but specifically the Demolition Man and Eraser ones), a PPG, and anything on the back wall of the Men in Black armory.

    So, any other questions? :)

Holy, you had that list ready to go! :P

All the ones you mentioned are awesome, and arguably better than my golden gun pick. I love the bond movies and video games though.

      1. In case you had not noticed, I have a … thing … for science fiction ;).

That said, I would just love to take the Golden Gun apart, but that might result in it being inoperable afterwards.
