Double Hand Crank Operated MAK-90 AK Rifles

This looks pretty cool, and is for sale for $2500 from a guy in Phoenix, AZ:

Details:

  • Side by side MAK-90 AK rifles
  • Both guns are buffered
  • Barrels are threaded and come with AK-74 brakes

Includes:

  • 1- MG tripod
  • 6- 75 round Chinese military drums (Marked 36 inside of a triangle)
  • 6- 30 round mags
  • 1- clone Eotech
  • 1- set of aircraft hard sights

The video demonstrates 150 rounds fired in less than 10 seconds:

The person that has the gun for sale claims that it is not a class III weapon, therefore anyone can own one. I am not sure about the validity of that statement.

Although it is no .22 LR, at least 7.62×39 isn’t too expensive of a round. With the price of ammo these days, it would still be pretty pricey to shoot lots.

yeah its legal and not class 3/NFA. it is hand crank operated just like an old school civil war gatling gun. there was a company that used to sell the kits and you just had to put it together with 2 of your own rifles. they had them for M1 carbines, AK47 style rifles, and the most popular was for ruger 10/22s. but i have never seen one work as good as in the video. i would have loved to own that one. the only ak style one ive seen couldnt handle the recoil and would jump after each shot and was hard to crank. this one seems well tuned

That’s pretty awesome that someone was creating kits. Sucks to hear that they didn’t work as well as this one appears to though.

  2. Legal or not I bet they get a visit from the BATFE.

If I lived in Phoenix I would keep that around for when the Mexican army came to take me for a KFR holiday.

      LOL good plan

  4. Not only are they not Class III, they appear to be legal in NJ…

Though under the BATFE’s “8 hrs in a machine shop” guidelines, that and an electric drill would probably constitute “constructive possession” /snark

hehe yea, I’m surprised we aren’t stuck using drills that only make one full revolution on every trigger pull

  5. WHo makes these kits and how do they go for?????? Manufacturer name????? Any lead?????

I’ve seen the 2nd one you posted.. that first one is new to me though. Pretty Awesome! Too bad it doesn’t come in calibers other than .22LR though :(

  7. […] built exactly to .50 Caliber, Barrels shortened to just over 16 or 18″, things like the hand-crank AK-47 make for mock-full-auto-fun, but still legal. Go see The Numbers Game for […]
