I knew it had to be either an art installation or movie prop as soon as I saw it; the holes are too evenly spread out, and only in the middle of the panels. Note no holes at fender or bumper seams (where two panels meet) or at door edges (where an actor might get hurt on a sharp edge.)
As an aside, the prop-shop also stays away from structural members so the strength of the car body isn’t reduced- on this car, note how there aren’t any holes in the upper door edges, the lower rocker panel, and they’re all well-centered in the hollow structure over the doors.

Yea the coverage of the holes is definitely suspect at first glance too. The holes are almost evenly spaced and have no real concentration.
Well, that seems like as good a use as any for Piouses… Though, for those individuals who are interested in putting those holes there honestly, I might suggest removing the batteries first.
Good idea on the battery removal. I wish more people would euthanize their Priuses. :P
