Ashton Kutcher Gives The 2nd Amendment A Nod Again On Twitter

This time with the help of his beautiful wife Demi Moore…

He tweeted this:

With a link to this pic of Demi with an AR-15:

According to the article on Dailymail.co.uk it was at a gun range in Los Angeles. Looks like a pretty ghetto range some multi millionaire celebrities to go to… I like how those two roll.

Posts like this only solidify my belief that they are the best couple in Hollywood.  Prior proof can be found HERE and HERE.

I wonder if that AR is California legal? or if they can somehow skirt the laws with their celebrity? That would definitely be another perk!

One thing I’ll have to mention though, I’ll give Ashton the benefit of the doubt that the gun was not loaded… But the safety nazi in my starts yelling when I see a picture of someone with a gun with a magazine in it, and their finger on the trigger and someone in front of the muzzle taking a picture… especially at the range that’s not a good idea even with a perfectly “safe” gun.

The magazine might have a bullet button on it, or some similar device, that makes the magazine “fixed” under California law. It still can’t have more than 10 rounds, but it allows people to get past the AWB using conventional (if plugged) mags.

yea i don’t think they got any special celebrity love for the AR. you have to work with a number of poorly written antiquated laws, but just about anyone (w/ a clean record) can own and AR in the people’s republic of kalifornia with a few after market parts (like jake said). they could have owned the gun and or mags prior to 2000 (ca assault weapons ban) which would grandfather them in.

Oh right, I forgot about that Grandfather clause.

Maybe they borrowed it from a movie armory, which is about the only place where California has evil evil guns.

That’s not Kalifornia.

Looks like a range close to a celebrity vacation town in the Northwest. In fact Demi’s ex-husband practically owns the whole town.

How do I know? Because I live fairly close by and that range, sagebrush and mountains look awefully familiar….

Also, could have been a tripod shot. I have taken more than a few pictures with the point of view being ahead of the firing line, but the camera was timed/remotely controlled.

Just a question of whether or not you are willing to destroy it :).

True, but since it was a twitpic that would suggest it was taken with a cellphone so the likelihood of him holding the phone to take the pic is a lot greater.

I’d with Edge. That doesn’t look like California scrub, and I don’t know of any ranges that open in the LA area. Maybe in the northern reaches of the county, but that’s still none I’ve visited.

Assuming that IS Ca, the mag would have to use a bullet-button release or have the mag release fixed. That configuration would also require a 10 round mag, which it could still be. There are plenty of faux-30 round mags that only hold 10 rounds. They’re called 10/30 mags here.

I think Edge is right, that’s not LA or even many places in CA. That’s high desert, and you get it on the west side of the Sierras. Of course, are we going to take at face value what a news organization says about anything gun related?

hehe yea no kidding.. especially a news organization based in the UK!

I’m going with what you guys are saying.
