Interesting idea, but I still think keeping the guns discretely inside the cab is a better idea.

Also, call me crazy but having the guns point directly at the drivers back seems like an accident waiting to happen. It’s only a matter of time before someone might put a loaded rifle in that box and it gets rattled around enough, or something hits the trigger and it goes off.  Having them point out the side or the back of the truck wouldn’t really be beneficial in lots of cases either if such a discharge were to occur.

This one is a no brainer!
Simply leave the chamber empty and the magazine loaded and an aircraft carrier could fall on your truck and there would be no accidental discharge.

Then your aiming at the people behind you… not great either. I just hope people keep them unloaded no matter what direction they put them in.
