Glock Factory Disposable Suppressor

Also known as the Glock Tactical Suppressor (GTS):

 • Made out of plastic
 • Quick disconnect (with the required specialty barrel)
 • Glock claims it is good for 15 rounds
 • Sells for $130 in South Africa according to the video

It would be pretty neat to own one of these just as a collectors item. I’m pretty sure we are not allowed to buy imported suppressors though… can anyone clarify that?

Huge surprise *sarcasm* there is no mention of this on Glock’s fantastic website that they update once every decade. hehe

If anyone has any more info or detailed pictures please email me!

$130 for 15 quiet shots? Seems way to expensive. For $600 or so I can get hundreds upon hundreds of silenced shots.

The name implies it suppresses tactical things. If we attached it to a mall ninja, what would happen? :-)

I wonder if you fired one shot, let it cool for whole day, fired another, let it cool, how long it would last. I think the 15 round expiration is meaning in a rapid or some what rapid succession.

i believe an imported suppressor would be considered a post-sample NFA item. so dealers and LE only

If it is anything like machineguns, imported (non-mg) NFA can only be transferred to SOT-holding FFLs, but there is no law against continued possession after they give up their SOT.

In other words, they’re keepers.

$130 South African (Rand) = ~$18 American.

So yeah, it’s pretty economical – a little over a dollar per suppressed shot.

If it actually 130 Rand rather than $130 USD that would be pretty awesome!

Glocks website is perfect, Mike! No need to update it….okay maybe some fish scales on the header would be cool.

I heard Glock is going to release a “Gen 4” website that will be another level of perfection… Maybe it can be custom fit to each user?

No its actually closer to $130, i worked in the store that sold them. And cooling them between shots is irrelevant. its a sealed unit until first shots punches through the rubber wipes, subsequent shots tear the wipes up further and around 15 shots it is just catching gas as any normal suppressor does. It was for a glock 21 though, so 45. Also, i am pretty sure you can import them rather easily… its just plastic rectangle with a hole in one end. other side is plugged by the rubber you shoot through. We dont have limitations on silencers or tax stamps for them here. Its just a thing, like a scope or a rail set.
