To me, nothing looks nicer than old wood and worn metal on AKs:

Because of the wood, the AK has such a ruggedness even the most worn out M16 could never attain.

  1. Yeah, you’re right. I have synthetic stocks on both the AK variants we own, but that’s partially because the original wood was the laminated crap instead of solid wood. If they hadn’t been plywood, it would have been a MUCH harder decision for me to switch to synthetic.

  2. Is that a pair of type 3’s? A worn finish does look the best on an AK, or maybe a Remington 870…
