Batman Complex At U.S. Air Force Base In Japan Revealed On Google Maps

Located on the U.S. Air Force Base in Okinawa, Japan

I always considered Batman to be more of a “skunkworks” kind of guy. Whatever pays the bills though I guess… the batcave must be a bitch to keep warm in the winter.

  1. That isn’t Batman, it’s the 353rd SOG Batcats!

I was stationed at Kadena AB in Okinawa from 2002-2004. That’s the symbol for the 44th FS(Vampire Bats), and there is also a “Fighting Cock” not to far from that building(67th FS Fighting Cocks). The story I was told, was that the pilots painted it a couple of years back and they repaint every so often. Pilots have all the fun.

If you want to see the other symbol, follow the solid white roofed buildings until after it splits. Behind the 6th building (bottom side) there is a faint painting of a “fighting cock.” Sorry, I couldn’t figure out how to drop a pin there…..

  3. It’s also VQ1’s bat . . .
