OK, the cop was being a dick, but the Kraut was doint 98! In most states (if not all) 25 over or anything over 90 is a arrestable offense. If anything, despite the cop being a dick verbally, the fact that he didn’t even give a ticket, much less arrest the driver, tells me that he took into account that they were from Germany and cut them A LOT of slack.
Now if you want to argue that most speed limits are ridiculous and unnecessary, I will agree with you. But that does not change the law as it stands today.

With a name like Biel ( which i would assume is of germanic origin) – he’s probably okay to use that reference. After all its pretty much ok for african americans to use the N word on each other a regular basis. Not saying that its right … kike that I am. :-)
The cop didn’t do a lot to enhance police/public relations but at the same time he didn’t book the guy. I know what I would have prefered if I had been that driver. I work with cops on a regular basis, most are awesome… some are just plain areseholes, and there is the always the ‘just having a bad day” factor to consider… we’ve all been there.

I agree that the driver got off very lucky. Since he’s not local, the officer’s best option would be to arrest IF he was going to cite them at all. He WAS out of line verbally, but perhaps he was not incorrect in his apprasal of the situation IF he had arrested him. The tourist should be glad he was only warned.
See the issue here is he was being a bad cop all around. If he believed that the guy was a risk (which from his childish unprofessional rant it seems he does) he should have arrested him regardless of what country the driver maintains citizenship in.
What this video really tells us is this officer enjoys being and unprofessional pr!ck more than he likes paperwork/ protecting and serving
Yeah, the cop was a dick but the Hun should know that 100mph is nuts in any country.
Nuts here maybe, yeah, but German drivers are among the safest in the world. At least from my experience.
