Annual Party Where Kids Are Made To Destroy Their Toy Guns

Providence, RI – Malik Hall, a round-eyed second-grader, looked apprehensive as he stood in line with his favorite toy, a thick, blue gun with plastic sword underneath the muzzle. The 8-year-old was furious when his mother, Amanda, told him he would have to give it up. Yesterday morning, he tried to hide it under his pillow, she said.

“I’m worried,’’ she said. “He might cry.’’

But when it was his turn, Malik strode dry-eyed and with quiet dignity to the Bash-O-Matic and fed it the gun. When his mother approached, he said nothing.

That is just cold blooded. How that is even allowed is beyond me…

It will be interesting to see how kids that get everything “dangerous” taken away from them will turn out. My guess is drug use and violence will be at an all time high, which would be pretty ironic.

  1. Your last comment is funny, since I have a friend whose mother didn’t let him play any violent video games… he’s a druggie now

  2. thats a fucked up state. I notice its only moms who are bringing their kids there in the article. Where the hell are the responsible fathers in that state?

Its better to have and not need, than to need and not have.

  3. That’s disgusting and seems most the comments on that site reflect that as well. On a personal note, I might be alive today because the back pack full of guns that I carried around broke my fall down a flight of stairs when I was 6. You can’t tell me guns don’t save lives.

    And Merry Christmas!

  4. I will never understand the fear most people have of anything violent, or for the new trend of babying kids way too much. In this case, they’re toy guns, for f—‘s sake. A toy gun does not make a mass murderer. A toy gun is like a right of passage for a kid, so that they can play Cops and Robbers or Cowboys and Indians or whatever.
Personally, I’d have my kid exposed to that as soon as possible…not so he becomes a school shooter as most people think, but so that he understands the danger with guns, but also their utility.

Guns are simply tools, and nothing more. They’re no more, or less, deadly, than anything else in my garage, from the axe I use to cut firewood to the sledgehammer I’ve never really used to a 2×4 leaned up against the wall. Are we going to be getting rid of those next?

  5. Child abuse – the new face of “gun control”.

I guess they are just trying to bury their racist roots under a new disgusting facade…

  6. Does no one else find it absurd that the kid got expelled from school for “firing” a pop gun at the kid who STOLE his toy truck? Did the kid who STOLE the truck get tossed?

Pulled directly from the Boston Globe article:

But when it was his turn, Malik strode dry-eyed and with quiet dignity to the Bash-O-Matic and fed it the gun. When his mother approached, he said nothing.

“You don’t want to talk to me?’’ Hall asked. He looked at her stonily and left to retrieve his gift.

Hall said she had no regrets. The 26-year-old mother of six said she has been trying to wean her only son off toy guns for years. In kindergarten, he brought a pop gun to school and shot at a classmate when the child refused to return his toy truck.

The police and representatives of the state’s children services department rushed to the school, and the boy was expelled.

“He had it in his pants like a gangster,’’ Hall said. Yesterday, she had six other of his guns to feed the Bash-O-Matic, but she admitted she had let Malik keep one, a small pistol that shoots rubber targets.

, please, please, please, oh sweet lord, the end is nigh.
..of course, the end is nowhere in sight, i need to buy a spaceship and some air filters.
