This looks unbelievable:

The only downside is that it doesn’t come out until November 8th.

You can pre-order it at Amazon for $60 though – HERE

im sorry but after COD:BO, i was so disappointed, that i picked up BFBC2, and was blown away. let me say one thing. FUCKING VEHICLES. i didnt know what i had been missing! not trying to start a war over this, but after seeing the MW3 trailer, it looks (to me), exactly like MW2. i, for one, will be putting down my money on Battlefield 3. i tried playing MW2 a couple days ago, but it doesnt compare for me anymore. all the fun i once had was gone, spoiled rotten by helicopters and tanks of BF. it just seems too….arcade-y? and all the people exploiting glitches piss me off. i have never seen any sort of glitch to be exploited in BFBC2.

Black ops and Modern warfare are completely different games, made by different people, with different purposes in mind.

Give 3 a try based on that reason alone!

      1. That’s the problem with 3. It is the Blops team, and not the original MW team. The workers at IW who made MW left the company to form their own so that they could actually make new games instead of rehashing the same one again and again.

They also left because money and creative rights. Activision shafted them, in more ways than one, and now MW3 is going to have a $8 a month fee for multi player..

Despite all this, i want to play it. For the railgun bit :D

No, the BO team isn’t working on MW3. Their company name is Treyarch. The guys doing MW3 are Infinity Ward, with help from Sledgehammer on the SP and help from Raven on MP. There are a few guys gone from the IW team, but the core is still there. The beast is just getting too big for one studio to pull it off on time.

And no, there will be no monthly fee for MP (at least on the 360). For one reason only, Microsoft doesn’t allow their system developers to charge fees. That is included with your purchase of Xbox Live. Can’t speak for the PS3 side though.

I’m disappointed that Call of Duty jumped the shark as soon as it did. The first Modern Warfare might have passed for a Clancy adaptation, but the second one was more like “Future Weapons: The Videogame.” MW3 is well on track to be even more ridiculous: Case in point at http://www.gamesradar.com/xbox360/call-of-duty-modern-warfare-3/preview/e3-2011-call-of-duty-modern-warfare-3-preview-the-rail-gunning-train-wrecking-excesses-of-new-york-and-london/a-2011052611313946060/g-20110513154613130025

Not only is there a full scale naval battle in the Hudson river, but the second paragraph from the bottom says the player will be using a railgun. A portable railgun. WHAT.

Oh by the way, a lot of the weapons that will be in the game were leaked as developer screenshots. Here’s one of a bubba’d Model 1887 with polymer furniture, altered sights, and “hasta la vista” scratched into the hammer (I swear they did this just to piss gun enthusiasts off) http://kotaku.com/5801353/modern-warfare-3-multiplayer-features-battles-in-brooklyn-clash-in-mogadishu/gallery/16

The same gallery shows that the Kel Tec KSG and Magpul’s fold-a-glock box will be in the game, so those are sort of cool, I guess.

    2. I agree full-heartedly. The second installment’s story went, “double-rainbow-what-does-it-mean.”

Also, MW2’s, “homage,” to Red Dawn was full of fail. Not once did I see armed civilians defending their homeland from invaders. Then again, it did take place in DC…

Even then, couldn’t at least ONE civilian have the balls to take up a gun and fight with the US infantry.

I like the story of the CoD games…but I’m more of a fan of the realism in the Operation Flashpoint Series. No health points to protect you from a head shot ;-)

Red River is coming out this month…*woo!*

  6. The only downside is that it doesn’t come out until November 8th

Maybe that’s written the European way – the way we used to write dates when I was in the military, so it actually means the 11th of August, 2011. I’m sure it isn’t, but wouldn’t that be nice?

As a COD addict I like that they have moved out of the sandbox and into the first world. Large desert maps always seem bare and empty. Running and gunning through Paris ought to be fun.

  8. Looks like more of the same. They’re even running on the same engine. The arcade-like gameplay is getting old and worn out, but Activision is going to get as much money as possible out of it. I’ll be waiting for Red Orchestra 2.

Not only is it more of the same, Activision plans to launch a service with a monthly fee to be able to get the full benefits of the game. $60+ for the game, and then a monthly subscription – NO FREAKING WAY.

BFBC2 chased me away with awful weapons. The LGMs are nigh uncontrollable. For that reason I went back to COD, but in every other respect BFBC2 is a superior product.

Ill torrent it just to piss off Activision. After the ass fucking the PC crowd got on MW2, they wont ever get another dime from me again.

That’s what you get for using a PC. Buy a console built to do nothing but play games, and stop using a crummy multimedia platform as a pathetic excuse as a game machine. Just because You cant play your World of Warcraft or World of Tanks (world of anything really) on it doesn’t mean you’ll die from withdrawal, i promise.

Oh yeah. WoW jockey insult has been administered :3

Warning! Warning! Battlefieldfag detected! Soap McTavish has been engaged :3

All i know is, Battlefield is for no lifers exclusively. It’s up there with Halo. Versus Call of duty which is for Prepubescent boys who try to act like full grown men, no lifers, and a few people who actually have a life.

Call of duty’s 15% worth the players with a life beat Battlefield’s 0%
Therefore, it technically wins. Now go reserve a Copy for the 360 today FOR GREAT JUSTICE! FOR THE RAILGUN AND THOUGHTS OF A LEVEL CONTAINING A FULL ON NAVAL ENGAGEMENT! You know, stuff that you’d have to be insanely dense or a flaming homo to not like.

And if you’re a PS3/PC user, your argument is automatically invalid lol.

  13. Oh, this game again, its just a reskin game. Looks all the same as MW2.
$100 says its reuse the engine, skins, models, sounds, textures and etc.

Well if’n it aint broke, dont fix it. Only flaming homosexuals rant and rave on reusing things and graphics and power instead of how good the game is. I guess you dont like any game where it has expansions that are their own individual sequels? Like S.T.A.L.K.E.R and it’s two expansions?

      1. S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl – X-Ray Engine 1.0
        S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky – X-ray Engine 1.5
        S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat – X-ray Engine 1.6

        Call of Duty 2 – IW Engine 2.0 (2005)
Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare – IW Engine 3.0
Call of Duty: World at War 3 – IW Engine 3.0
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 – IW Engine 4.0
Call of Duty: Black Ops – IW Engine 4.0
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 – IW Engine 4.0 (2011)

They’re all different versions of the same engine. And as much as i didn’t care for black ops, it’s a solid engine with no real faults :3

See? It’s the same game as before they just reusing everything. Everything of MW3 is all the same since CoD4. Nothing interesting in this video, you can watch first 3 mins and then forward to last 2 mins, that’s it, all of the contents of this video. Activision never learns, keep making the same game every year with different name. Hope you kiddy console luv this, lol. :)
