That was hilarious. Although I think there must be a bunch of swat teams around the country who missed the part about it being parody and started using their technique for room clearing.

I clicked on the “watch it on Youtube” button. Under the video, in their description, they say, “We don’t care or use Magpul Dynamics, all we care about it making fun of it.”
I ask them this: Why would you use Magpul Dynamics? You’re a bunch of Airsoft geeks! What have you got to worry about? A little welt from a plastic BB? An argument that goes something like this:
“I hit you!”
“No you didn’t!”
“Yes I did.”
“NO.”

The whole point, and where they hit home is, Magpul Dynamics videos border on the slightly ridiculous and occasionally completely ridiculous. There’s a lot of good stuff there, but at times (‘Dynamic Art of the Pistol/Shotgun/Rifle’ anyone?) I just want to die of embarrassment watching those videos.
For the people who have had the ill fortune and adrenaline thrill of having to do these sorts of things in a real war zone, I often wonder what they’d make of these Magpul tutorial videos.

I’d say they’re an excellent training tool but no substitute from taking an actual class. What exactly is ridiculous about those videos?
I’m not a shooter, for being still a little too young, having a staunchly anti-gun family, and having no money to obtain one here in Canada.
Yet I would buy their DVDs (Magpul’s) just for the entertainment factor, really. You don’t need to be an ultra tactical high speed low drag good to go MUHREEN to need them.
Although I do agree that most airsofters are dorks, it’s not for the reasons you stated above (Most airsofters that play the game often will accept hits and there are refs to prevent arguments like that), it’s more for the fact that some airsofters take the game way too seriously, and act even out of mil-sim games like it’s a real military thing.

No, that’s PRECISELY why I think they’re dorks. I never stated that they were dorks for the reasons in my posts. What I said was that the biggest worries they have in their little game are those things (and maybe a sprained ankle), as opposed to their life being ended by a round from an insurgent’s AK.
They have fun, who cares. Perhaps you should take the stick out of your ass?
