Future Motion Control Gaming

Coupled with a healthy diet, this would a step toward reducing childhood obesity:

Hopefully in the future, we well get past those dumb looking Playstaion Move guns, and more towards game guns patterned after real rifles.

If augmented reality games like that were available today, what would you be willing to pay?

Halo, so I could experience teabagging like never before.

    1. Pay, no play.

      Also, ew.

      1. Whoops. Reading fail.

        Awkward levels to the max.

    2. You don’t have to play video-games to teabag someone.

  2. I would not pay more than 150 dollars.
Because at that price, I could buy a cheap .22 rifle.

  3. Live coop will be awesome

  4. Buying the initial setup for $500, then games modules for $60 would still work fine. With 3D technology and motion control advancing so quickly it’s not unreasonable to believe we’d have access to something similar in 2-3 generations of game consoles, even if it’s not mobile like that.

I don’t know if I’d want every little Johnny whose parents bought him the latest game console to have a realistic looking firearm, though. I would imagine third parties would follow the Guitar Hero trend and offer more realistic or custom controllers for a hundred bucks. Especially if the games started to become more mainstream and not be just 1-2 games on Playstation.

The thing that bothers me most about the direction of gaming is publishers releasing incomplete or locked games that require you to pay more to gain full access. Buy a game used 2 years after it came out and they still want $15 to access certain features.

  5. I think it would be awesome to be able to run around my house/yard playing a game like this.
