The Walking Dead Recently Back From Hiatus

I forgot to mention it earlier, but since Feburary 12th The Walking Dead has been back.

It’s continuing on the 2nd season, and so far it’s really good.   There were a few slow episodes just like any show, and some real DERP moments but overall I enjoy it.

I got email from a few of you expressing your disgust that Shane keeps jamming his glock in the front of his pants.  Hahha yea pretty stupid I know, *shrug* that’s TV for you though I suppose.

If you haven’t got into the series yet, or are looking to catch up you can watch it on Amazon.

I agree, Amazon is great. I love it so much. It provides all of my online shopping needs in one convenient, easy-to-use and cost effective place. Everyone should use Amazon, it’s way better than its leading competitors such as Hulu and Ebay.

So Mike, when do we get our checks?

Frank March 4, 2012 at 11:57 am

Uh… I don’t pay for TV shows…

Jeff March 5, 2012 at 06:58 pm

Yeah! Or porn….errr….documentaries.

Aaron March 4, 2012 at 06:47 am

The series started great, then lost a tremendous amount of momentum once they reached that farm.

Frank March 4, 2012 at 11:57 am

Yes but Shane isn’t dead yet, read the comic.

bima86 March 4, 2012 at 01:30 pm

hahaha, yeah.. the graphic novel was way better.
they say they’re bringing in the governor on season 3 later.

Frank March 5, 2012 at 12:07 am

Indeed the comic is great, and far ahead of the show in terms of quality. However Norman Reedus does such a great job and in my opinion, carrying the show for me as a fan of the comic first. If he dies before Shane, I won’t willingly watch the show again.

Very true.

I agree there were some slow episodes that i managed to watch in 20 mins but more concerning to me is tha fact that there is only one farm in the whole of freaking Georgia!
I really couldn’t care less about how actors handle guns on tv, a) they are rubber b) its not going to hurt me in anyway. Same as youtube videos, don’t care if they show me the empty chamber, bullet isn’t going to go down the internets and shoot me if it goes wrong.

Ringo45 March 4, 2012 at 12:58 pm

@dave: You are correct in pointing out that the actors on tv and the people with guns on youtube can’t shoot you through the tv or internet. However, they do influence other idiots to treat guns in an unsafe manner, and these idiots might be next to you at a shooting range one day.

This show is gonna get REAL awkward when the Governor shows up.

bima86 March 4, 2012 at 01:41 pm

i bet, rick wouldn’t lose his hand in the tv series version.

Poppy March 4, 2012 at 01:45 pm

…or the necrophilia/incest.

Hopefully.

bima86 March 4, 2012 at 01:56 pm

that, with a pedophile combo..

Poppy March 4, 2012 at 06:42 pm

I remember the good ‘ole days of family friendly zombie films, where there was only wholesome cannibalism and not HOLY SHIT WHAT THE FUCK!!?!?!??!

bima86 March 4, 2012 at 01:40 pm

that scene where lori shoots a walker with a revolver. you can hear an empty shell dropping on the ground.

Hogan March 4, 2012 at 01:42 pm

I have been pretty happy with this season. People seem upset by it, but it’s AMC…they aren’t going to make Resident Evil style zombie action. Anyway, I do think that a “shooting instructor” would be a believer in holsters, and since it distracts from the show, it is a problem…but not a huge one.

Amazon Prime is nice. Its like Hulu and iTunes had a baby.

That and the writers need to get their hands dirty. When they started pulling out folding knives and driving them through the top of a human skull like it was plastic wrap, my first thought was “good luck with that.” The writers need to buy a pig carcass and test some things out a little.

ENDO-Mike March 5, 2012 at 12:53 am

I thought that was strange at first, but then I thought it was maybe attributed to the zombie virus making their skull like mush. *shrug*

I am an Amazon Prime member, but when I go to the site and look up The Walking Dead, it says that I have to pay to watch. Do you have a link that shows it for free for Prime members?

ENDO-Mike March 5, 2012 at 12:50 am

OOps sorry I was on my XOOM tablet when I wrote the article. I figured it was free like a lot of the other shows. Come to think of it, I wonder why it isn’t free?

Frank March 5, 2012 at 06:37 pm

I over heard a conversation once that there are places online to watch the Walking Dead for free, but legality of such may be dubious.

Josh March 4, 2012 at 07:12 pm

same here. I cant see it for free with prime.

dave w March 12, 2012 at 05:08 pm

Yay, shanes dead.

bima86 March 13, 2012 at 01:29 am

can’t wait for next weeks episode, lots of gun fires and zombies dying all over again :D

dave w March 19, 2012 at 03:21 pm

Well, that’s the end of season 2, hopefully Lori will get killed off pretty quick in season 3. Its not often i cant abide a tv character but she really slows that show down.
