AK-47 All About The Benjamins

The buy now price was $1500 on this gem:

It only made it up to $700.  I don’t know AKs so I don’t know what a Yugo M70AB2 “thick receiver” underfolder is worth, but $1500 seems high.  I guess a sweet paint job like that can command a premium though. :P

You can check out the expired gunbroker auction – HERE

Coming soon to a hood near you.  Think of how much of a status symbol a think like this would be!  If you had this and a gold tiger striped Deagle you’d be untouchable:

Imma give these fools a choice.. tha CHOPPA or the DEAGLE.  Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrap BrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrraP it’s ovah!  2012 is mine playa!  Rat-ta-tat-tat 100 bullets from my choppa clip make a hater sick.

*facepalm* that was the best I could do without extreme profanity.

Thoughts?

Assuming it’s a Century, it is only worth about $500 to begin with. The fact that it made it up to $700 because of some stupid pimp graphics just proves how dumb some people really are. I mean REALLY, just get a normal one and rattle can it gold if you want to be obnoxious!

A multi kit built Yugo with mismatched serials is really not worth a lot.

I think $500 is about all you can ask for this. At the end of the day it’s a cheap, common AK with a well done paint job. Maybe ask the going rate for a Yugo AK the cost of supplies and shop time. $700 is even a silly number for this.

I’m not ashamed to say, I love it. I wouldn’t pay $1700 for it. But I do love it.

The $1700 nets you not just the gun, but also the title “That guy” at the range.

^ the truth right there. With a rifle like that you’d also have to be that guy that shot up all the target stands, didn’t pick up your brass or garbage, and had poor muzzle discipline. :P

Nice! Well good investment on his part then if he could have already dumped it for $700 if his reserve wasn’t so high.

It’s a Century…which means that with the hydrographic dip kit job it’s worth about $600 give or take.

I wouldn’t pay $1,500 for that unless it was covered in real, removable $100 bills.

“I don’t know AKs so I don’t know what a Yugo M70AB2 “thick receiver” underfolder is worth, but $1500 seems high.”

$1500 is high. The “thick receiver” is really misleading as well. ALL stamped Yugo/Serbian AK’s have a 1.5mm thick receiver. Standard stamped AK rifles, such as Russian, Romanian, Egyptian and so forth, have a 1mm thick receiver. The Chinese also use a 1.5mm thick receiver, but it is designed like the other 1mm receivers instead of like the Yugo/Serb receiver.

It’s farb, and ugly… I’ll go for a Gold plated tiger stripe Deagle instead…

Yugo AKs are of pretty good quality… and this would for sure be an awesome way to troll at the local range.
