BFG 9000

This brought back some memories:

I was never huge into video games, but I did put quite a bit of time in on DOOM and DOOM II deathmatch.

Although very effective, the BFG 9000 wasn’t my favorite weapon.  I was partial to the rocket launcher and plasma gun, and to a lesser extent the chaingun.

I always love hearing the music from Doom and Doom 2. It’s all stolen, but changed just enough to not get into legal trouble.

It was more of an homage than stolen. I used to chat with John Romero quite often and we talked about that more than once. They were huge metal fans over at the early Id studios.

Megadeth, Alice in Chains, Metallica the list goes on. Those are a few of the bands John told me were paid homage to in the Doom series.

+ 10 To Wolfenstein, I found it to be better than doom, mainly because of killin’ Nazis.
