Tactical Bolt Action Pen

You can pick one up from ThinkGeek for $50 (if they ever get them back in stock)

I could have sworn my dad had a Rotring pen with the same action 20 years ago.  At that time it was just considered a pen though, and not re-branded to be “tactical” in order to sell a million of them to COD and Airsoft nerds.

I wouldn’t buy 99% of the stuff on ThinkGeek because collecting random crap is not something I do.  There is that 1% of their products though, that are so clever I almost want to buy them.

  1. The sold something similar to this at skymall ages ago. Thinkgeek does have some interesting stuff for the office.

  2. Ahh, Rotring… I wanted them when back when they were cool and angular and solid metal and I could not afford them.

Now that I can, they are pretty much indistinguishable from any other pen company out there.

I think it’s a decent design if it’s not like two lbs worth of steel. I hate heavy pens. Oh, and that ink cartridge would probably last me all of one week. I go through normal gel pens in about a month.

Hey, some of us have to use pens like all day every day. Sorry I can’t just bust out my stylus and type shit out on an ipad.

Think outside the box here, kids. With a spring upgrade, a firing pin, and some fiddling with the back end, this is a pen gun. Just sayin’.

Hall monitors, spare me your protestations.

      LOL!

  5. Thinkgeek has nothing to do with this idea, they’ve been available since January.

Shame how so much of the gun community knows more about what nerdy gadget websites sell than tactical product websites.
