Yes! Glad you posted this one. I saw it yesterday… love it. TJ is back! We can only hope this little fan film turns into something bigger. TJ was the best Punisher.
Only gripes are…
1) Bad cgi gore… but I can let that slide due to the budget or lack thereof.
2) Frank Castle seriously just walks around unarmed? Considering he’s already become The Punisher and is constantly being hunted by the Police and other crime organizations? Was he having a mid-life crisis and taking a break? I don’t buy it. The Punisher is ALWAYS armed even if it’s just a sidearm or a knife. I was predicting he’d pull a SBR from his laundry and was disappointed.
It would be an awfully short short if he just y’know, shot the fuck out of them, lol.
Nahhhhhhhh… that’s basically what The Punisher does… only with a bit more scheming and tactics beforehand. Hell, I’d have been happy if they just showed that he HAD a gun and still decided to use a bottle o’ Jack. :D
It seemed to me that he was doing his best to be ‘retired’, which is about the only thing that would explain his lack of holdout pistol at least. But he couldn’t stand by and flipped out like a ninja instead. Of course that doesn’t explain why he’d still be wearing and washing his skull shirt, but they had to get the symbol in there somehow – not to mention justify the whole laundry angle.
I never liked Jane as Punisher. He just doesn’t seem like Frank Castle at all to me. Doesn’t even look like him at all.
That was pretty awesome. The goryness was a little more than reality, but I liked the Spyderco Endura (Spyderco fan…).

I’m very impressed they got TJ and Ron Pearlman to act in this. I too hope it’s another kickstarter for the Punisher series. Considering how well Punisher War Zone (comic version) went over I don’t blame Marvel for jumping on it but the actor was a little too different from TJ. I’d like to see TJ in the next one (if there is one).
As for this short film, I liked it. Great acting, angles and story line.

Would have been much better with Ray Stevenson and Wayne Knight. The dynamic duo from Warzone.
I saw this a couple of days ago, and I imagine it was more enjoyable not knowing for sure that it’s a punisher short movie. Makes the ending sweeter.
Jack Daniels needs to use this as a viral ad. Edit some of the rape and shit out and just have the Punisher doing work with the bottle is about as American as it gets.
