12 Gauge Handgun

Oh wait never mind, just a dumbass pretending it’s one:

I always examine this type of video closely because it just seems too stupid to be true.  I really don’t think this one is fake, but I could be wrong.

I wonder what type of injuries he sustained from this little demo? He should have just got a Beretta Revolver Shotgun.

Any of you guys ever get someone to hold your beer while you tried this out? The weekend is coming up if you haven’t.. just saying.

There are plenty of videos like this

  2. A 62-year-old gentleman one-handed pistol shot my SBS Saiga. Three times.

Of course, he was smart enough to fold the stock back first.

  3. This just proves some people are too stupid to own firearms. There should be an IQ test or something…

I believe this *was* the IQ test.

  4. I dunno. I’ve shot a pump 12 gauge one-handed before and survived without injury. I mean, not high brass 00 buck, but still.

I shoot my 12ga one handed all the time. Usually trap shooting at my place, with target loads. Never came close to hitting myself in the mouth. Stiff arm it and you are fine. Usually hit the clay as well!

    1. yeah, this is easy with trap loads. once a buddy and i ran out of trap loads and had a few bb shells in the bag, it showed us the difference.

  6. I did have a new shooter try to fire my Mosin Nagant in a two handed pistol grip stance like that. He was confused when I started yelling “no” at him and stopped him from continuing. Fortunately, he happily took further instruction and had a good time in the proper stance.

  7. The haircut made him do it

    1. +1

  8. lol at how much recoil he was taking from that gun. i bet you could flick him and he’d fall over.

  9. I actually use this method for dove hunting in Texas, but I have to dual wield in order to shoot doubles, since I only have pump shotguns (can’t cycle the slide)…but I can shoot my limit in half the time!

I’ve shot a pistol grip Mossberg pump one handed with 3″ mag 00 buck one handed. I came out unscathed

Done it before, probably will do it again. If you’ve got some muscle mass and don’t hold it six inches from your face there’s not problem.

totally agree one handing a pistol gripped 12g isnt a big deal as long as your arms are bigger than your girlfriends (or sisters).

why the fuck would you hold the stock 6 inches from your face? physics fail.

I have shot a benelli nova one handed with buckshot, like a boss!

But seriously I am never going to do that again.

I should also stress that I was firing from the hip!

Not really gettin’ all the hate about one handing shotguns. I’ve done that to every shotgun I’ve fired and never come close to having that kind of recoil.
