Strike Industries addresses a popular problem with the bang switches:
Now, according to The Firearm Blog this is just a concept sketch. Strike Industries emailed me personally a couple times in the past, but I guess I am not on the “cool list” for such breaking news. It doesn’t often suck to be ENDO-Mike, but that really hurt… I thought we were bros Strike? :P
All jokes aside Strike Industries has some really solid looking products, and a sexy website to go with them. You should definitely check them out, the prices are extremely reasonable as well.
Thoughts? Anyone looking forward to smearing some safety boogers all over that trigger guard flare? I really like the idea as long as the index point is small enough to not be obtrusive. A real operator has to stay as HSLD (High Speed Low Drag) as possible.

IMHO and IME, it’s still got the trigger finger too close to the trigger. When I look at a student from the side, I want to see a clear (empty) trigger guard. Indexing the trigger finger high on the receiver works.

Who puts their finger on the trigger guard? I’ve never seen or heard of anyone doing that, and I don’t see the point of this thing.
I stopped using the trigger guard about .3 seconds after almost having an ND because of it.
Nope, trigger finger on the frame/receiver. Keeping your trigger finger anywhere on the trigger guard is a bad habit that can lead to NDs.
Dumb idea. Still seems easy for that trigger finger to slip. And as mentioned above, it’s or other peoples SA and safety as well to see your not being a moron and putting your finger in or around the trigger housing. Sorry guys. Drop this idea.
Yeah, I’m more inclined to put it high on the receiver, not because of ND, but rather it works for pretty much every firearm. I foresee problems from switching from a strike industries notched trigger guard to one without one
Meh, Tacticool crap.. You cant trust your finger wont slip off, you’re keeping your finger awfully close to the trigger to begin with, and now even closer? Why spend the *guesses* ~$20 when all you need to do is index it on the receiver.. I honestly think that if you got an indexing problem, you need to work on that. I used the takedown lever whole on my XD as an index, and a piece of grip tape on the lower receiver as my AR index. I honestly see no reason to obstruct your finger any further. I dunno.. I could spin my wheels in the mud over this one, but at the end of the day, it’s just more crap you dont need on your rifle. I’de say the biggest “crap item” i have on my AR is the Magpul BAD lever. Only because I live in California and have to turn the rifle a funny way to load fixed magazines like a fucking pro! *Booyah* Tacticool Bullet button mag release.
I think I will just save my money and stick to indexing on the receiver…

GREAT IDEA! I just bought a new ergonomic grip from Larue Tactical. It’s an awesome grip but the curve wants to “put” your finger in the trigger guard. I actually found this blog looking for a product like this.
