Globe-Trotter x 007 SKYFALL Rifle Case

Herititage luggage manufacturer Globe-Trotter produced this rifle case for the latest James Bond film SKYFALL.

Limited to just 100 editions globally, this case is one of the most exclusive products in Globe-Trotter’s history. This slim line 26″ aluminium suitcase has been formed by hand in England, and features a telescopic sight handle which is a replica of the one used in SKYFALL. Internally, the case is beautifully finished with a diamond quilted Alcantara lining and commemorative internal plaque.

Classy.  Expensive though at £5,000 ($8070 USD)

Globe-Trotter has other items in the James Bond collection as well, but they don’t have any scope in the handle type gimmicks… everything is just black.

Last but not least Adele kills it on the theme:

Yea I like Adele, that’s some real talent right there… deal with it bros. ;)

SKYFALL’s Release date is November 9, 2012 … mark it on your calendars.

Thoughts?

If you want a high end case, I prefer Zero Haliburton. I have a 10+ year old DZ3 laptop case which i’ve abused more than any of my gun cases, and its still going strong. Plus it was made when Dick Cheny was still CEO of Haliburton. And if cost equals performance, you can probably still find some ZH carbon fiber cases which make that Globe Trotter case look cheap.

I am still waiting for the inspiration to go out and get a cheap guitar and make the case from desperado.

I’m digging that the Adele theme has a similar feel to some of the classic Bond themes. And for any big Bond fans, if you have seen it before check out this website:
http://jamesbondlifestyle.com/
It has a lot of information about some the clothes, gadgets, drinks, etc. worn, used, and enjoyed by Bond.

looks really nice, but unless you add some foam it isn’t going to protect any rifle that I’ve ever seen very well. and once you add foam you might as well just have a pelican case…

What can this do for me that a Pelican case cannot? I just don’t see the practicality of this. I’d be afraid to take it out of the house, so therefore if I buy a really, REALLY nice rifle for that price and a really, REALLY nice optic, I’d have a lot left for ammo and a Pelican case of the same quality. Oh, and I’m pumped for the movie, too.

That thing is badass. And I do not like Adele, but I will admit that she was a good choice for a 007 song.

Brassy voiced wimmins make for the best bond themes!

The biggest crime against 007 having KD Lang get the closing credits for Tomorrow Never Dies. Now that was a song fit for the opening! (also Brosnan’s best Bond film)
