Buck Yeager Puts On A Pistol Whip Clinic

If you look close you can see dried tears and the words “Internet Troll” on Yeager’s heavy bag:

Sounds like solid advice.  I’d like to see someone do some tests on that inertia flipping the rounds around thing he mentioned.  I don’t doubt it could happen, I’d just like to see some tests done.

You might recognize the Everlast MMA heavy bag from the video where tactical saucy minx Erika used a glock to deliver a beating to it, then proceeded to get embarrassed when we made fun of her which resulted in her tactical boyfriend Cory to throwing a shit fit and removing the video.

Thoughts?

  1. If you punch with a fist you will break your hand? What in the hell is he talking about. If you know how to throw a punch you don’t. I would love to watch him try to slap someone into submission. He better stick to slapping bags with blue glocks. It was funnier to watch when it was butter face doing it.

  2. Wow, so i’m supposed to bitch slap people, and break my thumb by holding the slide down with it while firing. Thanks Buck.

its not gonna rip your thumb off or anything… LOL what a joke!

Though the person I’m about to link you to is a complete asshat (the 21 foot rule guy) he clearly demonstrates that you can hold a slide.

this guy is way more on point showing that even 21 feet isn’t enough time for you to break the shot

i would grab the slide but one finger kinda concerns me.

i wonder about how it may affect the gun too.. anyone know?

  3. Church, palm strikes will KO someone as easily as fists, and the slide will not break your thumb. There’s simply not that much force behind it.

Gviken, perhaps you don’t remember when Mike Tyson broke his right hand in a street fight with Mitch Green? Yeah, that guy has no clue how to punch…

Not so sure about ..as easily,.. but Bas Rutten lived off it awhile for sure. In my experience all thinking goes out the window in a fight so usually you revert to cave man tactics.

I’ve heard that in certain spots in the country bitch slapping is the preffered method of fighting with dildo fencing a close second.

      1. Your experience must not include any significant training in unarmed fighting. A trained response beats “cave man tactics” every day of the week.

I would actually say it’s easier for most people to make good hits with a palm strike over a closed fist because it requires significantly less training to hit hard and not damage your hand.

        1. Agreed.

A palm slap/strike to the base of the skull or ear can turn someone’s lights out fast. It’s the force of the impact that creates the concussive effect. A punch might produce more cuts/tissue damage, but that will hardly come into play *during* the fight (a “street fight” in any case…Unlike in boxing, I doubt anyone will be in a street fight long enough for a cut eyebrow to come into play)

I’ve broken my hand hitting someone in the skull. I’ve also cut knuckles on teeth. Neither was fun.

    2. So Tyson breaks his hand throwing a punch with a fist 1/2000,000,000,000 times probably a lot more and you and Buck decide it is a rule that if you punch with a fist your hand is going to break? I guess you can’t argue with logic. I stand corrected.

      1. Tyson also wears boxing gloves and hand wraps designed to protect his hands from breaking. Even then, enough boxers end up breaking their hands that the term “boxers fracture” is a common term. Punching someone in the head without gloves and/or wraps on without hurting yourself is actually pretty tricky. The head is hard and has a lot of weird points to it. Not to mention that you might catch their teeth which will probably shred your hand up and the human mouth, on the average, is a filthy place.

Using a palm strike to the head instead of punches is pretty much the consensus of martial arts folks that don’t plan on wearing gloves when fighting someone.

      2. Without gloves and a tight hand wrap to support the bone structure, most boxers would break their hands. It’s actually fairly common even with gloves and hand wraps. Back in the old UFC days when guys could fight bare knuckle it happened all the time. I have personally seen and treated many broken hands from misplaced punches to the head. I have only seen one palm strike result in a broken bone, and this was an older guy…on chemotherapy.

But whatever, its not like this is the overwhelming concensus of martial artists or anything, so here’s a challenge for you. Go outside and hit a brick wall as hard as you can with a closed fist, and I’ll do the same with a palm strike. Let’s see who ends up in the emergency room.

        1. I may break a wrist or hand but I won’t look like a pussy doing it.

          1. Oh, sorry, didn’t realize your priorities were fucked. My apologies.

Yeah god forbid you look like a pussy. That is the #1 thing to watch out for when disabling an attacker. Personal safety comes second to not looking like a puss. lol

  6. If it all ends with you shooting the person you’re sitting on, then why close the distance at all?

I’m glad he mentioned that thing about revolvers, it’s totally true. Most people think revolvers are malfunction-proof because of their robust design. It’s absolutely false. They are failure prone and do so quite often.

Giving an internet lesson on how to sit on top of someone and beat them with a Glock while wearing a zombie t shirt…..priceless.

first of all, if you’re on top of someone and have a chance to fire a shot, i’d make it count and then i wouldn’t need to hit him. But regardless, if you were on top of someone already would it be the best idea to shoot him? Like how the hell is that supposed to look when the cops are taking your statement.

I’m curious as to what amazingly well-stocked retailer this was filmed at?

“Space things out and it looks like we have more stuff!”

    1. LOL I thought the same thing

  12. It’s hard to get passed this twitching, mumbling, speed talking, disorganized, mess of a bowling pin with a vagina on it and give any credibility to half of the BS he says. If he went off the drugs, scripted his “training” videos, and then kept his trap shut on the unfiltered BS, he’d probably be regarded as a real industry professional in all things high-speed. But alass, he’s got the ears of the uninformed, easily impressed, x-.40 caliber users it seems.

it’s not the pistol whipping that flips the round, he just forgot to tell you that that happens all the time to HK’s………………..

Holy mackerel! Puttin your hand or finger on the slide to get it to work! I can’t even get across how stupid that is. Moreover if the “subject is on the ground and you are smacking them around with a loaded gun I can think of about a dozen things wrong with that situation. If only from a legal perspective, never mind a “tatical” perspective.

I have done a little work on this with dummy guns, it’s not called pistol whipping for nothing. Use the inertia of the gun, especially if it is not polymer framed. I once heard that one of the legendary old west gunfighters liked the Remington new army revolver because the sail under the loading lever enhanced compliance among the noncompliant.

Once again, by the time the target is on the ground don’t do anything like this, after all bad things tend to happen when pounding on a person like this.

I’m pretty sure he films everything at his “pro shop” at tactical response. There’s a cory and erika video where they talk in that same room.

Forgive me, I’m just surprised that bad guys actually have their own training videos.
