The point of the video was to promote a Kickstarter campaign for a FPS Russia video game. I can’t say I was at all optimistic, and when I clicked the link my biggest fears came true. It looks lame as hell… like some sort of weak-ass Contra knockoff. Not cool. FPS Corporate gonna keep pimpin corporations as long as it pays.
As I’m writing this post I see he has already raised $6354 out of the $51377 goal. People seem more than willing to throw money at this guy, so I’m sure that $51k goal will be far surpassed. Further down on the Kickstarter campaign page it details what he will spend the money on if the campaign reaches different levels above the original goal.
Thoughts? Are you going to throw $10 his way?

i like this blog but its kind of lame how much shit fps russia gets. clearly he isnt going for the same audience that the more serious enthusiasts are after, but he attracts a great following and can draw more shooters through his videos. yeah his accent is fake and some videos get cheesey but he gets people to watch his videos, and some to complain about them. his video game is going to be a lame app on phones that hes taking donations for to get running, and people are paying for it. despite his russian enthusiasm, what a great american making entertaining gun videos for a living.. true entrepreneurship

As much as I find ‘ol Russia for some of the entertainment value (he gets to shot shit that is hiiiiiighly illegal here in Swedun), no he will not get 10$. As a (also) a Videogamer, I reserve my bucks for quality games, not Contra ripoffs..

As a professional software developer / web developer I see no reason why a game of that caliber should costs $51k to make. I could make that shit in two weeks.

Code wise I see your point however you still need a producer, an artist, an animator, a sound tech, an online guy, buy and maintain a server for in-app purchases… Then debug comes! :p
After that Apple (or Google) takes 30% of your profits.
They could just do what every other hack studio has been doing and just outsource it overseas for super cheap.
