Kel-Tec KSG 12 Gauge Shotgun Shoot And Show

Hickok45 takes a look:

I don’t have time for 35 minute videos, but I figured some of you might care.

If you watch it, let me know how he likes it compared to the UTS-15 shotgun he talked about a while back.

Thoughts?

17:11 “This thing actually feels like quality”. Doesn’t like the takedown which looks like pain in the ass. But does Hickok45 hate/disrespect any gun? I think not. He’s just happy to put some lead down the range.

Whats a pain in the ass about it? Pop out 2 pins and pull it apart. If you insist on cleaning the magazines, unscrew the end cap with a quarter. If your referring to the sticky pin his had, either sand it down a little bit, or contact KT and they should fix it under warranty. Who knows if Hickoks pin was oversized, or if the hole in the gun was undersized. For small parts, they’ll just take your word for it and send you a replacement for free. Thats what they did when the firing pin in my RFB got bent.

If someone insists on bashing them because of my firing pin issue, it had been that way probably since I got it, it just took me a while to notice it. It didnt prevent the gun from firing however.

KT needs to start offering the LEO slam fire model to civilians, and the SBS versions to those who live in free states.

Hickoks video was the first review that I’ve watched about Kel-Tec KSG. First impression is first impression and using a hammer and a punch to takedown a gun for cleaning is pain in the ass. I watched another video about KSG takedown and it looked easier. Still too much hassle for my taste. I like my Mossberg because I can take the barrel off easily and melt the packed snow on campfire. Done that twice this year allready :)

I will never probably own a Keltec KSG because I have no use for it and that for I can’t get a permit for it.

you need a permit for a shotgun? It is not an SBS (short barreled shotgun) requiring a tax stamp.

Other KSG options? I can’t even find one to even look at one nevermind the shorter versions. And if I were to find one it would be over MSRP and that’s bullshit. And I blame Kel Tec for that.

Kinda reminds me of people drooling over the PMR-30 carbine prototype Kel Tec was showing off while they couldn’t even get the regular PMR-30 out. Then we they did they had to recall it. I wold gladly pay the MSRP for one if I ever saw one for sale at that price. It’s looking like that may never happen though.

I have seen one KSG. Don’t recall the price but do remember thinking anyone who paid it must be insane. Cool gun but I’m beginning to think it must be some sort of “concept gun” that they show off but you’ll never be able to buy.

And Obama. RFBs used to be around $1600 ($1880 MSRP) on gun broker. Now there is a single one available with a $2200 buyout.

Not so much Obama himself as irrational ObamaFear[tm]. Whatever. It stimulates the economy at least.

I’ve shot one on a few occasions (w Magpul AFG and Burris FastFire 2). I think it’s a nice gun that would serve well in a few intended niches.

Gunstore close to me has one for about $800 right now.

As much as I like ole Hickock as my grandfather would say, he handled that KSG about like a cub bear handles his dick. Stick to handguns.

The video is actually full of info on this shot gun it’s pretty sweet to have a light short shot gun to Cary when ever you go out camping at least on thees Asheville mountains lol. Ok so I’m a bit confuse this is a short berrel shot gun I didn’t know you needed a permit to own a shot gun is Obama messing around with this ??!!
