Disposable Magazine Clips Made Only From Bullets

Colorado Democratic representative Diana DeGette:

hahah wow… pure “shoulder thing that goes up” style gold.  How do people like this still have jobs?  That said, her idea of a magazine made purely of cartridges she is actually an intriguing idea… I’m picturing the functionality of linked ammunition but built into 30 round box mag configurations.

According to this Denver Post article, the sheriff that spoke after her politely educated her.  People are too nice… someone should have made her embarrassed enough to cry.  This is the same state that Magpul is moving out of… and this lady doesn’t even know a high capacity assault clipazine from a standard 30 round magazine.

Two more reasons why CO residents don’t need high capacity assault magazine clips:

  1. The Denver police department has an amazing response time (not sure if serious…)
  2. If there’s a home invasion, you’ll probably be dead anyway.

Diana-DeGetteI love how she states all her “facts” with such authority too.

Thoughts?

Either she’s a retard or she was drunk. Either way, there are far too many idiots like here in Congress and State Houses.

“The Congresswoman has been working on a high-capacity assault magazine ban for years, and has been deeply involved in the issue; she simply misspoke in referring to ‘magazines’ when she should have referred to ‘clips,’ which cannot be reused because they don’t have a feeding mechanism,” Johnson said

This shit just keep getting more and more retarded.

It’s like they don’t care how stupid the first thing they say is, or how stupid their “what we really meant…” is either. Once they get the lie out, it’s been heard and no amount of mumbled incorrect explanation or well reasoned rational rebuttal after the fact will erase it.

To be unnecessarily fair, though there are no “high capacity” stripper clips or en bloc clips (both of which can be reused indefinitely if taken care of), the Swiss k31 (which also has a removable box mag) uses 6 round resin impregnated paper clips to load the magazine. So eventually those will wear out, but they aren’t nearly scary enough to ban and aren’t made anymore anyway. So ban paper clips!

“there are no “high capacity” stripper clips”
I beg to differ! I have some Swedish 9mm multi-row stripper clips for the M/1945 submachine gun, those clips hold 36 rounds each. You need a special tool to use them, but with that tool you can fill a 36 round mag in less than 5 seconds.

That is awesome!

She continues to affirm when seconds matter, the cops are minutes away.

So does she classify as: a dumbass, jackass, asshole, fool, tool, or a incredibly stupid totalitarian.

Though I find this video and ignorance funny (okay, I find it hilarious) I am saddened that we’re spending time and energy dwelling on what Colorado representatives have to say, even though over there it’s already a done deal. I’m here in Connecticut, and we’re actively watching our rights about to get stripped away in the state house of representatives; literally hours away from the serious potential for a sweeping gun ban and comprehensive registration of existing guns. But nobody seems to be watching or getting involved.
I apologize for being a debbie downer, here. But our widespread apathy and desire to sit back and watch all this unfold behind our computer screens instead of getting involved is what lead intellectually incompetent scumbags like Diana DeGette holding a position of power in the first place.

It’s mind boggling, as a resident of Colorado, to know that these people are the ones in “power.” While I know there’s nationwide legislation in the works, I fear that Colorado’s statewide ban has a strong possibility of setting a precedent for each individual state, if no nationwide ban goes into effect.

Aren’t those who are employed in positions of power subjected to mandatory drug testing? I bet this woman is high as a kite on that primo Colorado kush…

also, that second video…WOW. If this bitch (I’m being VERY nice calling her just a bitch) remains in office, well, I fear for everyone in Denver. Thankfully, I live in Arapahoe County just east of Denver county…so whatever the fuck happens across the street from me (the county line, not that anyone cares) stays there.

She should move to Denver and see if the cops are minutes away as she suggests. Stupid, ignorant politicians that think they know best. FOAD.

Being a resident of Colorado is embarrassing as of late. I’ve visited the Erie, CO Magpul shop a couple of times to grab calanders and catalogues and I can say its a literal crying shame they are leaving. This is just a pathetic time we live in.

Here is an update
*************
DeGette’s spokeswoman Juliet Johnson issued a statement Wednesday, saying the congresswoman mispoke.

“The Congresswoman has been working on a high-capacity assault magazine ban for years, and has been deeply involved in the issue; she simply misspoke in referring to ‘magazines’ when she should have referred to ‘clips,’ which cannot be reused because they don’t have a feeding mechanism,” Johnson said. “Quite frankly, this is just another example of opponents of common-sense gun violence prevention trying to manipulate the facts to distract from the critical issue of keeping our children safe and keeping killing machines out of the hands of disturbed individuals. It’s more political gamesmanship that stands in the way of responsible solutions.”

So sick of these politicians molesting the hell out of the term, “common sense laws.” If it was so common, there’d be no debate. Examples of common sense laws include theft, murder, rape, assault, not ownership of specific inanimate objects.

That has to be the dumbest thing i have ever heard out of a Rep’s mouth… “high capacity magazines will disappear over time because people will shoot more and more clips of ammunition and bullets will be less plentiful..” SERIOUSLY???? can you just listen to that statement???? anyone else with me on that here????

“You would probably be dead anyway.”

I think that’s a good summation of the attitude of utter arrogance cultivated by the bulk of people in positions of power. These people are really off in their own little world.

MrColionNoir made a point I can’t believe I didn’t make myself watching this. She thought he was banning ammunition… Effectively banning weapons… He made the connection to ‘we aren’t banning cars, just banning gasoline.’ It is so much worse to think that she got away with banning ammo. Holy crap. Derp.

You show me a STANAG compatible 30 round disposable mag that consists of nothing but ammo, and I’ll eat my hat, register communist and turn in all my guns.
